  • Publication number: 20240160927
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing multiple tasks with a single artificial intelligence model that can include training a supernet model for an application by splitting the application into tasks, and splitting the supernet model into subnets. The methods and systems can further assign the tasks computing budgets, and match the tasks to subnets by matching the computing budget of the tasks to the computing capacity of the subnets. Further, the methods and systems can perform the tasks with matching subnets to produce parameters that are used by the supernet to perform the application. The supernet combines all of the task to produce a model for the application and the supernet retains weights for the tasks to be used in subsequent applications.

  • Publication number: 20240152767
Abstract: Systems and methods for training a visual question answer model include training a teacher model by performing image conditional visual question generation on a visual language model (VLM) and a targeted visual question answer dataset using images to generate question and answer pairs. Unlabeled images are pseudolabeled using the teacher model to decode synthetic question and answer pairs for the unlabeled images. The synthetic question and answer pairs for the unlabeled images are merged with real data from the targeted visual question answer dataset to generate a self-augmented training set. A student model is trained using the VLM and the self-augmented training set to return visual answers to text queries.

  • Patent number: 11958956
Abstract: Additive-polymer precursor materials for filaments (e.g., for three-dimensional (3D) printing) are provided, as well as methods of fabricating and using the same. One or more two-dimensional (2D) additive materials (e.g., nano materials, such as nanosheets) can be mixed with a polymer base to give an additive-polymer precursor composite material. The additive material can be dissolved in a first solvent to give an additive solution, and the polymer can be dissolved in a second solvent to give a polymer base. The additive solution can be mixed with the polymer base to give a mixed solution. Solvent casting can then be performed on the mixed solution to evaporate the solvent(s) and give the additive-polymer precursor composite material, which can have a layered structure.

  • Publication number: 20240118867
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for generating a merged dataset, comprising: accessing data comprising a core dataset and an additional dataset; identifying a plurality of common attributes between the core dataset and the additional dataset; determining a plurality of similarity scores between an inquiring entity in the core dataset and a plurality of candidate entities in the additional dataset, including, for each candidate entity of the plurality of candidate entities: calculating a similarity score for the candidate entity based at least in part on a distance-based score and a weight influence score; selecting one or more matches for the inquiring entity in the core dataset from the plurality of candidate entities in the additional dataset based at least in part on the plurality of similarity scores; and generating the merged dataset by adding the one or more selected matches for the inquiring entity to the core dataset.

  • Publication number: 20240115508
Abstract: Nanocrystals, compositions, and methods that aid particle transport in mucus are provided. In some embodiments, the compositions and methods involve making mucus-penetrating particles (MPP) without any polymeric carriers, or with minimal use of polymeric carriers. The compositions and methods may include, in some embodiments, modifying the surface coatings of particles formed of pharmaceutical agents that have a low water solubility. Such methods and compositions can be used to achieve efficient transport of particles of pharmaceutical agents though mucus barriers in the body for a wide spectrum of applications, including drug delivery, imaging, and diagnostic applications. In certain embodiments, a pharmaceutical composition including such particles is well-suited for administration routes involving the particles passing through a mucosal barrier.

  • Publication number: 20240071257
Abstract: A surgeon training apparatus includes a cassette, which includes biological tissue repurposed into a form consistent with the anatomical configuration of abdominal hernias, affixed into an anatomically correct silicon framework which replicates the abdominal anatomy. The framework positions the cassette in an anatomically correct position within the abdominal cavity, enabling surgeons to train using a properly positioned representation of the target anatomy, thus requiring the surgeon to properly use surgical tools to correct the pathologic condition caused by the hernia. The cassette is formed by applying biologic tissue to a specially designed “plate,” which affixes the tissue block into the anatomic framework, and is adapted for connection to a grounding device so the surgeon can use cautery during the simulated hernia repair.

  • Patent number: 11914741
Abstract: A computer system is configured to receiving a data set from a data provider and automatically save the data set in a quarantine database where copying, moving, and sharing of the data set are restricted until the data set is released by a data provider. The data set is parsed to find and mark portions with potentially sensitive information. At least those parts are reviewed by a data governor, who can confirm, add, edit, or remove markers. Those parts can be visually indicated to the data governor, along with a preview of, metadata about, and analysis of the data set. After reviewing at least the automatically marked portions, the data governor can release the data set to a non-quarantine database where another user can use the data set. The user is restricted from accessing the quarantine database.

  • Publication number: 20190146930
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for an event lock storage device. The storage device includes a user partition and an event partition (which may be associated with an event). The storage device receives data from a host device, and stores the data in the user partition. In response to receiving an indication of an event, the storage device may designate the data as part of the event partition. The event partition may include a set of access rules that is different from the user partition, such as more restrictive rules for modification or deletion of a file containing the data.

  • Patent number: 5119791
Abstract: A vapor storage canister incorporates a liquid trap that protects the carbon bed, but which avoids purging liquid directly out of the trap. The trap consists of a cup that forms an interior cavity at the bottom of, and surrounded by, the carbon bed. The purge tube does not enter the trap directly, but instead runs to a plenum that draws from the bottom face of the carbon bed. The trap, in turn, is open to the interior of the carbon bed only through a screen mesh grid. Consequently, vapor can be pulled from the trap at purge, but not liquid.
