  • Patent number: 12784528
Abstract: A process for self-recovering from document processing disturbances in a flexible document receiving and dispensing device comprising one or more flexible document storing and dispensing modules, wherein each one of said one or more flexible document storing and dispensing modules is configured to store a respective group of flexible documents, wherein each flexible document is individually identified by a univocal code associated thereto, wherein the process comprises the following steps: A. during a storing operation, one or more flexible documents are stored according to the following substeps: A.1 recognizing the group of flexible documents and reading the univocal code from each one of said one or more flexible documents; and A.2 for each group of flexible documents, storing the univocal codes read at step A.

  • Publication number: 20260217488
Abstract: A method for adjusting the alignment of flexible documents is disclosed. The method includes: moving the individual flexible documents along a direction of advancement, until they are brought to detection devices configured to detect an orientation of each of said flexible documents; bringing the flexible documents into correspondence with alignment organs configured to apply a torque to each of the flexible documents; performing a first alignment phase of each of the flexible documents, carrying out a second alignment detection phase of each of the flexible documents by additional detection devices, and varying the actuation parameters of the alignment organs if the additional detection organs detect a misalignment of the flexible documents greater than a pre-established value, where such variation involves varying the actuation parameters of the actuation organs until each flexible document is engaged with the alignment organs.

  • Publication number: 20250148155
Abstract: A model of a flexible document for use in a mechanized flexible document transport process. The flexible document is decomposed into at least one layer comprising parallelepiped-shaped rigid bodies, and each rigid body is connected to all rigid bodies that are adjacent to it by connecting elements connected to connection edges of adjacent rigid bodies. Each connection edge is connected to an edge connecting a rigid body adjacent to it by: (1) a first connection spring having a rotational stiffness about a rotation axis orthogonal to the thickness axis of said connected rigid body and to the axis where the connected rigid body is connected to the adjacent rigid body, and (2) a connecting structure selected from: three springs having a translational stiffness along the connected rigid body's longitudinal axis, the connected rigid body's transverse axis, and the connected rigid body's thickness axis, respectively. and a ball joint.
