  • Publication number: 20140325459
Abstract: A control system is provided based on the use of gestures and functioning especially in mobile terminals. The gesture control system is provided with a general purpose interface with its commands for applications to be controlled. The processing software of the gesture signals includes a training program trained free-form gestures made by the user being stored in the gesture library, and a recognizing program, which matches a gesture made by the user to the stored gestures and chooses the most similar gesture thereof. Gestures can hence be used as commands for controlling any application configured or programmed to receive the command. One and the same application functions in different models of mobile terminals without matching, and in a certain mobile terminal all applications can be run, which applications use specified interface commands. The application can be e.g. a game or activity being included in basic implementation of a mobile terminal.

  • Patent number: 8745121
Abstract: An approach is provided for construction and aggregation of distributed computations. A distributed computation construction infrastructure identifies an execution context bound to a user context at a device, the execution context corresponding to one or more processes executing at the device. The distributed computation construction infrastructure further causes, at least in part, decomposition of the execution context into one or more closure primitives and respective process states, wherein the one or more closure primitives represent computation closures of the one or more processes. The distributed computation construction infrastructure also causes, at least in part, serialization of the one or more closure primitives, the process states, or a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20040266480
Abstract: A system, apparatus and method for incorporating sensor functionality into mobile communication devices having a host process and employing at least one memory, such as a removable memory card. Access to the removable memory card by the host process is facilitated using a digital interface, and storing sensor data from one or more sensor modules into a local memory. The host process of the mobile communication device is coupled to the local memory via the digital interface which is used by the host process to access the removable memory card. The sensor data may then be accessed from the local memory by the host process via the digital interface.

  • Patent number: 6744335
Abstract: An integrated tunable resonator for radio includes an RF resonator having a micromechanical tunable capacitor with high Q- (quality factor) value. A first conducting layer (4) forms the first capacitor electrode (8), and/or the electrodes (9) to create the electrostatic force on a movable micromechanical structure (2), and the interconnecting wire (10) between the inductor coil (1) and the capacitor electrode. This arrangement with the use of a dielectric insulating layer provides a substantial improvement to the linearity, power consumption, occupation space and reliability of RF resonator circuits.
