  • Publication number: 20230175232
Abstract: A method includes the steps of receiving, during a first action of an automatic adaptive loading procedure by a work machine equipped with a boom and a bucket connected to the boom, driveline information of at least one driveline component of the work machine, defining a set of control parameters on the basis of the received driveline information, and controlling position of the boom, position of the bucket, and speed of the work machine on the basis of the defined set of control parameters during a second action of the automatic adaptive loading procedure.

  • Publication number: 20220242249
Abstract: A method and arrangement are provided for controlling electric current in a tether cable of an electrically driven mining vehicle. An indicator of an equivalent cycle current that flows through said tether cable is determined, and one or more descriptors of an actual state of dynamically changing conditions of the tether cable are obtained. A current limiting value is determined on the basis of the indicator and the descriptors, and a total amount of current is limited that the mining vehicle draws through the tether cable to a value smaller than or equal to the determined current limiting value.

  • Publication number: 20220219546
Abstract: A mining vehicle includes a traction mechanism for propelling the mining vehicle, a traction motor for driving the traction mechanism, a cable connection for connecting the mining vehicle to an external source of electric energy, and an electric power link between the cable connection and the traction motor for conveying electric energy from said cable connection to said traction motor. The electric power link includes a DC power link. The mining vehicle also includes a traction DC/AC converter for converting DC power from the DC power link into AC power for feeding into the traction motor.

  • Publication number: 20190277311
Abstract: A hydraulic system, a mobile mining machine and to a method of controlling a hydraulic actuator is provided. The hydraulic system includes two hydraulic pumps (P1, P2) for generating hydraulic power for a hydraulic actuator. The pumps are powered by means of a common electric motor. Operation of the actuator is controlled by controlling speed and direction of the motor, whereby hydraulic lines (19a, 19b) may be without actively controlled control valves.

  • Patent number: 10086707
Abstract: A mining vehicle and a method for an energy supply of the mining vehicle is disclosed. The mining vehicle includes at least one mining work device, at least one AC electric motor for powering the at least one mining work device, and an auxiliary energy source. The mining vehicle further includes a power electronics device that is used for supplying reactive current and for charging or discharging the auxiliary energy source. The amount of the reactive current supplied by the power electronics device and the amount of the effective charging current for charging or discharging the auxiliary energy source are controlled such that the maximum value for the current of the supply cable and the maximum value for the current of the power electronics device are not exceeded.

  • Publication number: 20170114594
Abstract: A rock drilling rig includes a drilling unit that is provided with hydraulically operated actuators, such as an impact device, a rotation device and a feed device. The impact device and the rotation device are connected to dedicated hydraulic circuits provided with dedicated supply and discharge lines and are controlled by means of dedicated control valves being on the a carrier of the rock drilling rig. The feed device is connected to a distributed hydraulic system, wherein several actuators are connected to a common hydraulic circuit (CHC) provided with one common supply line and one common discharge line and are controlled by several distributed valves. The distributed valve of the feed device is located at the drilling unit.
