    Abstract: A method of producing titanium metal with titanium-containing material which includes mixing, pressing and drying the titanium-containing material with a carbonaceous reducing agent to obtain a resultant as a first anode. Using a metal or an alloy as a first cathode, and using an alkali metal chloride molten salt and/or an alkaline earth metal chloride molten salt as a first electrolyte to constitute a first electrolysis system, to perform pre-electrolysis in an inert atmosphere to obtain a residual anode. After the residual anode is washed, molded and dried, using the residual anode as a second anode, using a metal or an alloy as a second cathode, using an alkali metal chloride molten salt and/or an alkaline earth metal chloride molten salt as a second electrolyte to constitute a second electrolysis system, to perform electrolysis in an inert atmosphere to obtain titanium metal powder.

    Abstract: A method for production of metallic titanium and metallic titanium obtained with the method are provided. The method for production of metallic titanium comprises: taking a titaniferous material as the anode, a metal material as the cathode, and a molten salt material as the electrolyte, and carrying out electrolysis under electrolytic conditions to obtain metallic titanium; wherein, the titaniferous material is in a porous structure, with 1 mm˜10 mm average pore diameter and 20%˜60% porosity, and at least a part of the titanium element in the titaniferous material exists in the form of TiOx, wherein, 2>x>0. With the method provided in the present invention, the process is simplified, and the yield ratio and purity of the obtained metallic titanium are higher.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing metallic titanium by electrolyzing molten salt with titanium circulation. The method mainly comprises reducing titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4) to at least one of titanium trichloride (TiCl3) and titanium dichloride (TiCl2) in chloride molten salt by metallic titanium (Ti), and electrolyzing the at least one of TiCl3 and TiCl2 in the chloride molten salt to form metallic titanium. According to the method for preparing metallic titanium of the present invention, TiCl2, and/or TiCl3 are prepared and electrolyzed continuously without changing the surrounding medium, thereby simplifying process flow, reducing power consumption, and realizing industrialization.
