  • Publication number: 20230188503
Abstract: Analytics are collected to monitor and report data usage of enterprise applications running on a mobile device. A second line service agent and an analytics agent assure that the mobile device is configured for analytics collection. Once configured, cellular data usage of applications that are monitored by the analytics engine are detected and a VPN connection is established for routing the communications between the monitored app an a public website. If the mobile device switches to WiFi usage, the analytics agent disconnects the VPN connection and routes data directly to the public website. Thus, data usage of the monitored applications can be reported by the VPN gateway.

  • Publication number: 20220094616
Abstract: A system and method for obtaining usage information for selected applications running on a mobile device. A VPN engine initiates a VPN connection for each selected application when the mobile device is operating in cellular connectivity mode. This results in all data transmitted and received by the mobile device to pass through the VPN connection. A VPN platform can thus identify usage information of the particular application for the particular mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20180157379
Abstract: Application mobilization has assumed importance given has assumed importance given the proliferation of smartphones amongst the enterprise workforce, and other users. Existing techniques to mobilize applications incur high overheads in terms of time, cost, and effort. Remote computing is a promising basis for application mobilization that has the advantages of zero code rewriting, full functionality applications, and seamless IT manageability. However, it has the major disadvantage of presenting a cumbersome PC application view on the smartphone. In this context the present invention, referred to as *Mobile, is described to perform dynamic transformation of application views for smartphones. Significant performance gains may be achieved by using this system and methodology.
