  • Publication number: 20260112896
Abstract: A simulation engine configured for use with an energy management system is provided and comprises a simulation input generator configured to receive data related to a distributed energy resource (DER) of the energy management system and generate a simulation input, an optimization engine configured to receive the simulation input and generate raw optimization schedule based on the simulation input, a translation layer configured to receive the raw optimization schedule and generate a modified optimization schedule, which is an output compatible with a distributed energy resource (DER) controller of the energy management system, and a system simulator configured to receive the modified optimization schedule to mimic the distributed energy resource (DER) controller, generate a simulation output, and display the simulation output to a user, wherein the simulation output is an end-to-end simulation framework that emulates a behavior of components of the energy management system.

  • Patent number: 12341334
Abstract: Fault detection in a shunt capacitor bank connected to a power system is described. Voltage and current measurements are obtained at a terminal of the shunt capacitor bank. An electrical parameter is calculated based on the voltage and current measurements, where the electrical parameter is an impedance angle or an active power. A difference between a first and a second value of the electrical parameter is calculated, based on which a fault is detected.

  • Publication number: 20250053145
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating at least one operation schedule for at least one load connected to a system including an energy generation system, an energy storage system, or both. The method and apparatus initially estimate the system performance based upon system design and operational variables. A load operation schedule is adjusted to improve system performance and the adjusted load operation schedule is used to control at least one load.

  • Patent number: 10921386
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for calculating winding currents at a delta side for a transformer. The transformer has two or more windings, with a first winding being a delta connected winding. The method includes obtaining line currents measured with measurement equipment associated with lines connected with the windings. The method further includes calculating zero sequence currents for at least a second winding, from the line currents of a corresponding line. The method further includes calculating zero sequence currents for the first winding, based on the zero sequence currents for at least the second winding, a phase displacement between the windings, and a turns ratio associated with the windings. The winding currents is calculated from the zero sequence currents of the first winding, and the line currents of a corresponding line.
