  • Patent number: 11948208
Abstract: A system and method for presenting different graphical representations of a user to different end-users in a network-based communication environment are provided. A first end-user has a first a social distance from a user in a social graph while a second end-user has a second social distance from the user that is further than the first social distance in the social graph. A first graphical representation is provided in the network-based communication environment displayed to the first end-user and a second graphical representation different from the first graphical representation is provided in the network-based communication environment displayed to the second end-user. The difference between the first graphical representation and the second graphical representation is based on the difference between the first social distance and the second social distance.

  • Patent number: 11243822
Abstract: A method for automatically verifying a message using a remote system includes receiving, at a remote system, a request to launch an application from a current user to communicate where the request includes a unique feature associated with a potential user's device that is required for registration. The method includes generating a selectable-link, and transmitting a first message that includes the selectable-link to the potential user's device. The first message is configured to cause the potential user's device to display the link, launch the application in response to receiving selection indication of the selectable-link, and transmit a verification code to the remote system. The method further includes registering the potential user's device in response to receiving the verification code.

  • Publication number: 20170195250
Abstract: According to an implementation of the disclosure, a data management application executing on a mobile device may receive from another application executing on the mobile device, a request to provide data via a network communication component of the mobile device to a server system that is remote from the mobile device. The data management application may determine that data limiting conditions associated with the requesting application have been satisfied. In response to the determination that the data limiting condition have been satisfied, the data management application may prevent access by the requesting application to the network communication component and present a prompt to a user that may allow the user to permit the requesting application to access the network.

  • Publication number: 20150193435
Abstract: Systems, servers, methods, media, and programs for generating a graphical comparison of data files are provided. A relationship is computed between a first data file and a second data file. The relationship represents at least one change from the first data file to the second data file. A transformation is computed in accordance with predefined transformation operations based on the relationship between the first data file and the second data file. The transformation includes at least one of the predefined transformation operations and is executable for representing the change from the first data file to the second data file. A graphical comparison of the data files is generated. The graphical comparison is configured to visualize the change from the first data file to the second data file by executing the transformation.

  • Patent number: 8775191
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for classifying utterances. The methods, systems, and apparatus include actions of obtaining an audio input signal representing an utterance of a user. Additional actions may include determining that a shape of at least a portion of the audio input signal matches a shape of at least a portion of an audio trigger signal corresponding to a keyword. Further actions may include, based at least on determining that the shape of at least the portion of the audio input signal matches the shape of at least the portion of an audio trigger signal corresponding to the keyword, classifying the utterance as a trigger utterance that corresponds to the keyword.
