  • Publication number: 20250103496
Abstract: An apparatus includes a plurality of coherent agents, and a coherence directory that includes directory ways for storing coherency information. The coherence directory may be configured to determine that a cache block that is not currently cached among the coherent agents, is stored in a first coherent agent. The coherence directory may be further configured to, in response to this determination, create a particular entry in a selected one of the directory ways. The coherence directory may also be configured to send, to the first coherent agent, an indicator identifying a directory way that includes the entry. In response to a second coherent agent caching the cache block, the coherence directory may update the entry to include the second coherent agent. • Patent number: 12255769
Abstract: A recovery orchestration pipeline has stages configured to control efficient failover and recovery of applications in a multi-site disaster recovery (DR) environment. The applications run on user virtual machines (UVMs) at a primary site of the DR environment and connect to block storage devices (BSDs) that export virtual disks over a storage protocol to consume data including a recovery plan for disaster recovery. The recovery plan includes a recovery configuration whose generation is triggered by a user via a graphical user interface (GUI) and specifies resource requirements needed to recover the applications at a secondary site in the event of a disaster. The orchestration pipeline is initiated via single click of the GUI and completion of the stages of the pipeline is displayed as progress via the GUI to allow recovery of the applications without user intervention.

  • Patent number: 12216576
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a memory having a data cache stored therein and a control circuit operably coupled thereto. The control circuit is configured to update that data cache in accordance with a scheduled update time. In the latter regards, by one approach, the control circuit computes selected entries for the data cache prior to the scheduled update time pursuant to a prioritization scheme to provide a substitute data cache. At the scheduled update time, the control circuit switches the substitute data cache for the data cache such that data queries made subsequent to the scheduled update time access the substitute data cache and not the data cache.
