    Abstract: An ultrasonic system provides an inexpensive non-invasive way to measure fuel levels in a metal fuel tank that reduces noise from tank vibration. A first transducer generates a first signal that can be used to determine fuel levels in the tank. A second transducer placed on a chassis generates a second signal that corresponds to the noise. A differential amplifier then subtracts the second signal from the first signal, producing a cleaner signal result for determining fuel levels.
