  • Patent number: 10890941
Abstract: A headset for experiencing an augmented and/or a virtual reality environment may include a housing defining an interior cavity, with optical components received in the interior cavity of the housing. A front face may be rotatably coupled to a front portion of the housing to selectively enclose the interior of the housing. A computing device including a display may be received in a slot defined between the front portion of the housing and the front face. A face pad may be removably coupled to the housing, opposite the front face, so as to enclose the optical components in the housing. A user may view an augmented/virtual reality environment displayed on the display through the optical components received in the housing. An adjustable head strap assembly may adjustably position the headset on the head of the user.

  • Publication number: 20140208333
Abstract: A method uses a computing device that includes a first processor in a first, inactive state operatively coupled to a second processor in an active state. While the first processor is in the first state (301) the second processor uses sensors to determine (303) that a first condition occurred. In response to determining that the first condition has occurred, the first processor initializes (305) to a second, active state. If the first or second processor determines (311) that a second condition has occurred within a given time period (307 and 309) after the first condition occurred, the first processor performs (315) a first action such as launching a software application, capturing a digital photograph, or placing a phone call.

Abstract: Various embodiments include a software provisioning system and method for a vehicle infotainment computer. Software provisioning of the vehicle infotainment computer may occur during vehicle assembly. A software provisioning request may be received for custom installing software to the vehicle infotainment computer. The custom install may be based on a customization schedule which may include a location identifier (such as uniform resource identifiers or file paths) for locating the software. In response to the request, the software may be located on a provisioning server or a portable memory device based on the customization schedule. The software may be transmitted to memory of the vehicle infotainment computer and custom installed on the vehicle infotainment computer.
