  • Publication number: 20250235622
Abstract: A syringe assembly is provided, comprising a barrel comprising a barrel body with an axial passage therethrough, wherein the barrel body is at least partially transparent and the barrel comprises at least one marking. The assembly further comprises a plunger with a visible marking connected to or provided on a plunger body, wherein the visible marking is positioned at a distance of a piston of the plunger. The marking of the plunger is visible through at least part of the barrel body. Aligning a marking on the plunger body with the marking of the barrel allows for accurate dosing of liquid.

  • Publication number: 20240408311
Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for filling one or more syringes with a liquid, essentially without air being trapped with the liquid in the one or more syringes. A temporary storage volume—a buffer member—is used to temporarily hold the liquid and allow air to be removed from the liquid in the syringe. The size and/or shape of the temporary storage volume—also referred to as intermediate volume—allows the air to be removed more easily compared to the size and/or shape of a main volume of the one or more syringes.

  • Patent number: 12083323
Abstract: The total volume of fluid in a syringe may not be equal to the total volume of fluid that can be pressed out of the syringe: a dead volume may be left in an arrangement of the syringe and a needle hub provided with the syringe. To reduce the dead volume, a needle hub and syringe arrangement is provided which are shaped complementary to each other. More specifically, a shape of an end-plane of a piston comprised by the syringe is complementary to a shape of a plane in which an opening of a cannula bore of the needle hub is provided. The shapes are such that the volume inside the syringe once occupied by the fluid may be occupied by the piston after fully pressing down on the piston, or only a substantially small volume of fluid may be left between the cannula opening and the syringe.

  • Publication number: 20230285684
Abstract: During filling and capping of a syringe, with for example a fluid medicament, air may be trapped between the syringe, cap and the fluid. This air has to be removed prior to the fluid medicament being injected into the body of a patient. For removing air from the syringe during capping, a cap is provided comprising a protrusion extending from the cap, which protrusion is arranged to be at least partially inserted into an outlet end of the syringe. During this insertion, the protrusion may enter the fluid medicament, and displace the fluid medicament such that excess air is pressed out of the syringe by virtue of the displacement of the fluid medicament. This may prevent traveling of bubbles through the volume of medical liquid in the syringe, which may have to be driven out by tapping or other agitation.
