  • Publication number: 20100299719
Abstract: In various embodiments, a control client is configured to determine whether or not the most current configuration profile has been installed within a corresponding mobile device. In particular embodiments, the client is configured to store its own copy of a configuration profile and to compare its copy with the most current configuration profile generated by a device management system as well as to the configuration profile currently installed and applied by a configuration manager within the mobile device. Each configuration profile includes an embedded verification token that facilitates this process. Furthermore, the client may be configured to inform the device management system as to whether or not the current configuration profile has been installed. The device management system may govern enterprise access by the mobile device based on whether or not the current configuration profile has been installed.

  • Publication number: 20090300707
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and electronic device for conforming integrity of a client device 106 are disclosed. A memory 1100 may store a policy tag 404 associated with a subgroup of a group of policies 1102 and having a tag timestamp. A network interface 1060 may receive the certificate of health 300 from the client device 106. A processor 1010 may extract from the certificate of health a certificate timestamp 302 and a policy tag 304. The processor 1010 may access the tag timestamp. The processor 1010 may execute a comparison of the certificate timestamp 302 with the tag timestamp. The network interface 1060 may grant access to a network 104 based in part upon the comparison.

  • Patent number: 7552222
Abstract: When an external user such as a trading partner makes a request into an access point of an application on an application server, that external user can be authenticated as a valid user on the system. The identity of the external user can then be switched to an internal system user identity, such as by pushing new user information on the user stack or by adding internal user context. This internal system user identity allows the user to access resources and applications on the application server that are not available to an external user. The use of this single internal system user identity allows for a single login process that can be used for all resources and applications on the server. The use of an internal user also prevents an external user from accessing those resources unless the user is first authenticated through a proper entry point.
