  • Patent number: 12165388
Abstract: A method for treating plants in a field, in which a specific crop is planted, has the following steps: selecting a treatment tool for treating plants; capturing an image of the field, the image being correlated with positional information; determining a position of a plant to be treated in a field, using a neural network into which the captured image is fed, wherein the neural network has multiple specific classes and a general class, the crop belongs to one of the specific classes, and plants not corresponding to the crop belong to both one of the specific classes and to the general class, or at least belong to the general class; directing the treatment tool to the position of the plant; and treating the plant using the treatment tool.

  • Publication number: 20230403964
Abstract: A method is for estimating a course of a plant row in a field while the field is being crossed in a direction of travel substantially parallel to the plant row. The method includes capturing a plurality of images of the field substantially in sync with obtaining position information relating to a position in which the individual images are captured on the field. The method also includes classifying pixels or regions in the individual images as crop plants; arranging the classified images in a global context using the obtained position information; and estimating the course of the plant row by determining a probability distribution of the pixels or regions classified as crop plants in the global context along a direction perpendicular to the direction of travel.

  • Publication number: 20230028506
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for processing plants in a field in which a specific type of crop is planted, said method having the following steps: selecting a processing tool for processing plants; acquiring an image of the field, the image being correlated with position information; determining a position of a plant to be processed in the field using a neural network into which the acquired image is input, the neural network having a plurality of heads and in particular one of the heads being evaluated according to the processing tool and/or the type of crop grown; guiding the processing tool to the position of the plants; and processing the plants using the processing tool.
