  • Publication number: 20060054107
Abstract: A waste-carrying pouch is disclosed, for use by pet owners to carry waste (feces) to a trash can or waste basket. The pouch hangs from a leash, near the handle, and can be reversibly opened and closed. An improved design uses a combination of: (i) two attachment points, positioned at the two ends of the pouch, to minimize swinging motion by a pouch loaded with waste, and (ii) walls made of a semi-stiff plastic-impregnated fabric, such as “420D” nylon with a polyvinyl chloride coating, to providea suitable degree of “stiffening” to make opening and closing the pouch easier and more reliable even when a leash is being jerked and tugged. Pouch-and-leash combinations are also with either standard or retractable leashes, having rings or other coupling devices on the leash, and pouch assortments are disclosed with a range of sizes.

  • Patent number: 5879039
Abstract: A new bag filling device for easily scooping ballast material, such as sand or dirt, into a flexible bag. The inventive device includes an elongate tubular body member formed by a perimeter wall having inner and outer surfaces with the inner surface defining a body member hollow interior. At the top end of the body member is a top edge defining an upper opening into the body member hollow interior. The top edge also includes a scooping portion which is positioned towards the back of the body member. The scooping portion is designed for permitting the scooping of material, such as sand, dirt, and gravel, through the upper opening into the body member hollow interior. The bottom end of the body member has a bottom edge which defines a lower opening into the body member hollow interior. The bottom end of the body member is designed for insertion through the opening and into the interior of a flexible bag to permit passage of material through the body member hollow interior into the interior of a flexible bag.

  • Patent number: 4083328
Abstract: A rigid tub has an outlet hose affixed to the bottom thereof extending from an outlet hole for draining the tub. An outlet cap on the outlet hose manually controls the flow of fluid through the hose. A flexible bag has a body opening and a head opening formed therethrough and a zipper extending along the body opening to the head opening for selectively opening and closing the body opening to position a pet therein with its head extending beyond the bag through the head opening. A first fastening device releasably affixes the bag to the tub in a manner whereby the bag covers the tub and extends a distance thereabove. An inlet in the bag admits solids and fluids into the bag onto a pet in the tub. A pair of spaced hand holes are formed through the bag. Each of a pair of sleeves extends from the bag at a corresponding one of the hand holes for accommodating the arms of a user washing a pet in the tub.
