Abstract: A sanitary apparatus may be, among other things, a toilet bowl, a sink, a basin, a bathtub, a bidet, or a urinal. The sanitary apparatus includes a water vessel, and a water drain configured to empty the water vessel. The water vessel includes a clay body, a first layer over the clay body, the first layer is at least in part an opacified glaze, and a second layer over the first layer, the second layer is at least partially transparent and includes silica and alumina in a predetermined ratio of 9 or greater.
