  • Publication number: 20240245800
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the development of drug delivery systems comprising single domain antibodies (sdAbs). For this purpose, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) are provided with high selectivity and efficiency to be used advantageously in cancer therapy, and a drug-delivery system targeting the central nervous system (CNS) pathologies. The ADC molecules developed for therapy, namely for cancer therapy are obtained from rabbit derived sdAbs comprising a potent cytotoxic payload, a SN38 small molecule conjugated with the free exposed cysteine at position 80, 23 or 88 of the VL framework. The drug delivery systems developed targeting the BBB endothelial cell receptors of the central nervous system (CNS) comprise rabbit derived single-domain antibodies (sdAb) conjugated at the surface of liposomes encapsulated with a suitable drug enabling an efficient blood-brain barrier (BBB) translocation. The respective process of production is also herein disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190360687
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device made of metal bars or other resistant materials, intended for locking the rotary knobs that enable the circulation of gas in ranges, stoves or similar apparatuses, wherein said device comprises a sliding horizontal lockout knob behind the burners, connected to a control bar which, in turn, is connected or welded to a front bar that slides over rollers when the gas release knobs must be locked. Thus, lockout is achieved by means of a wedge that is part of the control rod and which is inserted in a hole made in the cylindrical shaft of the circulation knobs. The device is used as a safety system against poisonings, explosions or fires, which might occur upon accidentally releasing the circulation of gases.

  • Publication number: 20190350395
Abstract: Modular tray comprising a plurality of bases, a central piece to which the plurality of bases is fixed and an external ring, wherein the external ring is configured for being fixed to the bases in a zone opposite the central piece providing rigidity to the plurality of bases fixed to the central piece such that each base comprises a smaller curved side configured for being joined to the central piece, a larger curved side, and two flat sides between the smaller curved side and the larger curved side such that two contiguous bases, fixed to the central piece, have two flat contiguous sides.

  • Publication number: 20160053242
Abstract: A heat-stable nuclease found in Y. enterocolitica subsp. Palearctica, named Nucyep, is active in broad spectrum conditions. The gene for Nucyep was sequenced in a strain Y. enterocolitica subsp. palearctica, cloned, and expressed in E. coli, and then purified and characterized. The molecular weight of this enzyme is about 30 to 32 kDa. The translation product, Nucyep1, is biologically active. The purified Nucyep1 exhibits non-specific nuclease activity, being able to degrade various nucleic acids, including RNA, single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) and linear or circular double-stranded DNA (dsDNA). This enzyme is active in a wide range of temperatures, from 0 to 100° C. The enzyme is active in a wide range of pH values from 3.6 to 9.9, and keeps greater than 75% of the activity at pH 7.24. This enterobacterial nuclease has unique levels of intrinsic resistance to heat, and is active under a large spectrum of conditions.
