  • Publication number: 20210378865
Abstract: A surgical system for the treatment of ocular problems including a surgical cassette, a surgical console operatively coupled to the surgical cassette and further including a processor, a vacuum source positioned in-line with a vacuum regulator and a mass air flow controller, and a tank fluidly connected to the mass air flow controller, wherein the processor is configured to calculate an air flow set point in accordance with a received at least one user-defined fluid flow rate set point; and wherein the mass air flow controller modulates air flow from the tank to the vacuum source in accordance with the received the air flow set point to meet a user-defined fluid flow rate.

  • Publication number: 20210106734
Abstract: The present invention comprises a fluid source connected to an irrigation feed line, an aspiration line providing at least a partial vacuum at a surgical site, at least one pressure sensor in communication with the aspiration line, and at least one valve in communication with the irrigation feed line, wherein the at least one valve restricts fluid flow in the irrigation feed line in accordance with at least one measurement of aspiration pressure differential and at least one predetermined system attribute, and wherein the aspiration pressure differential may equal a first measurement of aspiration pressure minus a second measurement of aspiration pressure over a predetermined time.

  • Publication number: 20190110891
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a phacoemulsification surgical workstation that is adapted to facilitate loading of an intraocular lens (IOL) into an inserter for use during phaco surgery. The workstation includes a camera positioned and oriented to assist an operator to visualize or magnify the IOL, the inserter, so as to aid the operator in loading the IOL into the inserter. The workstation can include a platform or a light source associated with the camera view to assist such loading.

  • Publication number: 20120165735
Abstract: An irrigation system for use with an irrigated electrophysiology catheter includes a peristaltic pump and an irrigation tube. The pump generally includes a pump clamp and a rotor, which are spaced apart to provide a tubing channel therebetween. The irrigation tube is inserted into the tubing channel. At least one of the pump clamp and the irrigation tube is treated to reduce surface adhesion therebetween. This advantageously minimizes perturbations to the double layer, which reduces a noise signal that might otherwise couple to and distort an electrogram signal.
