Abstract: Sentiment-aware management of profile pictures on social media platforms. Embodiments of the invention provide for changing a profile picture of a user of a social network platform. A user submits content for posting to the social network platform. Analysis of electronic text associated with the user post is performed to identify a post sentiment. If the post sentiment differs from a sentiment associated with the profile picture, a candidate replacement profile picture having an associated sentiment that matches the post sentiment more closely relative to the associated sentiment of the profile picture, is identified. The profile picture may be replaced by the candidate profile picture.
