Abstract: A system and method of providing contextual breadcrumbs is disclosed. A current page may be caused to be displayed on a device. Contextual breadcrumbs may be caused to be displayed on the current page. The contextual breadcrumbs may comprise a simplified representation of a first different page. The first different page may be different from the current page. The simplified representation of the first different page may comprise context information regarding a function of the first different page. The context information regarding a function of the first different page may comprise a visual representation of functional options of the first different page. At least one of the contextual breadcrumbs may be configured to enable the user to act upon the functional options of the first different page from the current page.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a system and method for facilitating transactions using a badge are provided. In example embodiments, codes for a badge to be displayed on a web page of a web site are generated. The codes for the badge are embedded in the web page prior to an occurrence of an event external to the web site. In response to an indication of the event, the embedded codes are activated to display the badge on the web page.

Abstract: A system and method for a social shipping system are described. An item offered by a seller and selected for purchase by a buyer of a marketplace is identified. From a social network of the buyer, at least one local user geographically located within a predetermined distance of an address of the buyer is identified. A single shipping transaction from the seller to the buyer and the at least one local user is generated.

Abstract: A method for providing an indication of financial strength includes receiving a financial indicator and a predetermined spending budget status from a user. The predetermined spending budget status is associated with a spending budget for the user that has at least one payment account. The financial indicator is then associated with the predetermined spending budget status. A payment request that includes one of the at least one payment accounts is then received from a merchant. A current spending budget status is then determined using the spending budget and the at least one payment account. The financial indicator is then sent to the merchant for provision to the user in response to the current spending budget status being included in the predetermined spending budget status.

Abstract: In electronic financial transactions a receiver, or targeted recipient of funds, provides account information to a transmitter, or sender of funds. The transmitter initiates a push of funds from a transmitter funding source to the receiver's funding source processor. In some embodiments the receiver provides a payment card, similar to a credit card, which is read by an electronic device of the transmitter, such as a smart phone. In some embodiments, the receiver provides the account information by way of a bar code, such as a QR code, which is scanned and read by the transmitter's electronic device.

Abstract: Social network data may be accessed by an inventory adjustment machine, and such social network data may be accessed from one or more social network servers. The social network data may be accessed in the form of user submissions published by one or more social network services. The inventory adjustment machine may identify a topical trend from accessed user submissions. The inventory adjustment machine may determine that a product available for sale corresponds to the topical trend identified from the user submissions. After determining that the product corresponds the topical trend, the inventory adjustment machine may adjust a value that represents a quantity of the product within an inventory that includes the product. This adjustment of the value may be based on the topical trend identified from the user submissions accessed from the one or more social network servers.

Abstract: A method and system to selectively process a code is provided. An example system includes a scanning component, a settings access module, and a code data processing module. The scanning component may be configured to scan a two-dimensional code, e.g., a QR code to obtain code data. The settings access module may be configured to access user's settings stored on the electronic device. The code data processing module may be configured to apply a processing scheme to at least a portion of the code data, based on the user's settings, process the at least a portion of the code data according to the processing scheme, and perform an action based on a result of the processing.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for an electronic commerce file system are provided. In example embodiments, a selection of an item contained in a folder of an electronic commerce file system is received. The item is offered for sale by an electronic commerce provider, and the electronic commerce file system resides locally on a client device. Based on a type of the folder, a set of actions are provided for selection, with the set of actions to be performed with respect to the item. A selection of an action to be performed with respect to the item is received. The action is performed with respect to the item, with the action being performed between the electronic commerce file system and the electronic commerce provider via a network.
