  • Publication number: 20220202142
Abstract: A connector including a body with two windows and a swivel hook is provided. The swivel hook is interconnected to the body and is rotatable around a longitudinal axis. The body generally includes a first loop connected to a second loop. The first loop has a first window that is separated from a second window of the second loop by a crossmember. In one embodiment, the crossmember is generally linear. The crossmember may be oriented approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A strap may be connected to the crossmember.

  • Publication number: 20190060517
Abstract: A biocompatible and biodegradable medical device patch actuating primarily as soft tissue structural reinforcement. The device has a layered architecture, where the primary serves as suturing layer and mechanical support to a thick porous scaffold which can be coated with a mimic-like extra cellular matrix (ECM). The device can be provided to the end user under the format of independent layers that can be cut and assembled to the specific need to the end user and patient. The layers are assembled without the need of any adhesive. Totally haemocompatible and of behavior superior to polytetrafluoroethylene used for any soft tissue repaired, the field of this invention is demonstrated for cardiovascular therapy but should not be limited to it. It is of practical relevance of vein, tendon and hernias and dermal treatments.

  • Patent number: 9362100
Abstract: The present invention relates to a non-thermal plasma jet device as spatial ionization source for ambient mass spectrometry of the type which allows a free adjustment of the geometry of the plasma beam, wherein the device comprises a double dielectric barrier probe of non-thermal plasma or NTP probe, which generates a non-thermal plasma jet; a high voltage and high frequency transformer circuit that connects an outer electrode through which it is possible to perform a discharge for the ionization of a gas which produces plasma, and wherein said plasma generator circuit is in turn connected to a source of AC power; an inner electrode which is grounded and allows to perform the discharge for the production of plasma; a storage tank of a gas serving as discharge gas; a test sample on which the non-thermal plasma jet is applied; and a ion transfer adapter to direct the ions produced by the device from the vacuum-free sample into a mass analyzer.
