  • Patent number: 10359602
Abstract: A two sided mirror and mirror stand includes a central post and a base including plural legs. The mirror resides in a first inner frame and includes a non-magnifying side and a magnifying side. The first mirror frame resides in a second frame and is connected thereto by studs that permit the first frame to pivot from one side to the other. The second frame is connected to a telescopically extendable post. The central post includes a recess configured to store one of the legs in a hide-away position.

  • Patent number: 10056951
Abstract: A non-coherent multi-user MIMO communication method is disclosed. Firstly, a data transmission method includes the acts of a) estimating the signal-to-noise ratio for each receiver; b) selecting a power sharing factor for each receiver; c) encoding information to be sent to each receiver into a symbol for each receiver; and d) transmitting, by a transmitter, a signal that includes the power sharing factors and the symbols for all of the receivers. Furthermore, a reception method includes the acts of: i) receiving the power sharing factor; ii) decoding the signal corresponding to the highest power sharing factor; iii) determining if the signal decoded in step ii) corresponds to the current receiver; iv) if the decoded signal corresponds to the current receiver, finalize the reception; and v) if the decoded signal does not correspond to the current receiver, proceed with the following power sharing factors.

  • Publication number: 20070264515
Abstract: A bonded structure including one or more substrates bonded together with a tackified amorphous poly-alpha-olefin adhesive composition. One method of making such a bonded structure is carried out by applying a tackified amorphous poly-alpha-olefin adhesive composition to one or more substrates at a temperature of about 170 degrees Celsius or lower, and joining the substrates to themselves or to one another. The bonded structure has a dynamic peel strength between about 400 and about 1000 grams per 25 millimeters. The bonding efficiency of the bonded structure renders the bonded structure suitable for incorporation into a variety of articles, including personal care products, health/medical products, and household/industrial product, for example.

  • Publication number: 20050256469
Abstract: An absorbent structure made at least in part from a superabsorbent material having a retention capacity (CRC) as determined by a Centrifuge Retention Capacity Test of at least about 25 g/g and a free swell gel bed permeability (GBP) as determined by a Free Swell Gel Bed Permeability Test of at least 575×10?9 cm2. In another embodiment, the absorbent structure is made at least in part from a superabsorbent material having a retention capacity (CRC) as determined by a Centrifuge Retention Capacity Test of at least about 25 g/g, an absorbency under load (AUL) at 0.9 psi as determined by an Absorbency Under Load Test of at least 18 and a free swell gel bed permeability (GBP) as determined by a Free Swell Gel Bed Permeability Test of at least about 350×10?9 cm2.

  • Publication number: 20050015068
Abstract: An absorbent structure and method for making the absorbent structure including an absorbent core made from a matrix of fibers, wherein the matrix is reinforced with a stretchable reinforcing member, such as scrim. The absorbent matrix may be secured to the web of scrim with the scrim in a stretched condition. When the web of scrim is in an unstretched condition, the web of scrim partially gathers the absorbent core to form rugosities on the core. The reinforcing member can have a non-uniform transverse width to conform to the shape of the absorbent core. The absorbent structure can have multiple layers of reinforcing members. The reinforcing member has strands arranged in a pattern to facilitate stretching. A first set of strands can cross a second set of strands at junction in a non-orthogonal relationship.
