    Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing storage service to a tenant in a cloud storage environment. Specifically, in one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method for providing storage service to a tenant in a cloud storage environment, comprising: extracting from a request from the tenant a storage service requirement associated with the request; acquiring from the cloud storage environment at least one logical drive meeting the storage service requirement; building a virtual storage container associated with the at least one logical drive; and providing requested storage service to the tenant via the virtual storage container. In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for providing storage service to a tenant in a cloud storage environment. By means of the method and apparatus of the present invention, customized storage service can be provided to tenants more efficiently.
