  • Patent number: 6631905
Abstract: A basketball skill teaching game apparatus and method for one or a plurality of players playing in a determined order. The apparatus features a game mat placed upon a playing surface and having a plurality of individual game squares arranged sequentially thereon. Upon a signal, from a starting point, the players commence play in a determined order and designated direction of play. Each player moves a determined number of squares from a starting point to a landing point which is another of the game squares, each of which has indicia thereon designating a specific physical exercise to be performed should a player land upon that square. Each of said players landing on their landing point during their respective turn reads the indicia thereon and communicates to fellow team members the specific physical exercise to be performed. When the team is done performing the exercise, the next player takes their turn and repeats the actions of the earlier player.
