  • Publication number: 20040093897
Abstract: A Jewelry and timepiece protection and storage device which provides selective added decorative and/or non-decorative functional enhancements to horological and non-horological jewelry items having band, chain, strap, lanyard or similar holding entity and which when such jewelry items are worn they at least in part surround a body part such as the wrist, arm, ankle, neck, head, waist. The enhancements are electronic or mechanical. Decorative functional enhancements may be non-electronic and/or electronic visual display capabilities allowing selective viewing of selective interchangeable pictures, photos, artwork replicas and other graphic material. Changeability of the jewelry piece apparent shape and/or size is possible, and there can be a light emitting device.

  • Patent number: 6071161
Abstract: An aquatic exercise device includes at least two specially shaped buoyant elements to be worn around the midsection of a human. The buoyant elements are affixed to a band or belt for surrounding the mid portion of the human and for securing at least two buoyant elements to the band. The buoyant elements can be located in multiple relationships on the band about the body. The exercise device can take on different shapes about the body and buoyancy characteristics in order to meet the requisite conditions, needs or desires of the user.

  • Patent number: 5766116
Abstract: A hand held aquatic exercising device includes a handle and relatively moveable hydroresistive elements at respective ends of the handle. The hydroresistive elements can be moved to different positions relative to a longitudinal axis through the handle. In another embodiment the hydroresistive elements are selectively removable from the handle. The hydroresistive elements can be assembled in different relative positions with the handle. The handle is selectively solid or hollow. The device thereby presents a resistance to the water that can be varied according to the desires of the user. The hydroresistive elements may be cup-like and may be flexible to facilitate reversal about their bases. A hand gripping element facilitates rotation of the handle abcut the longitudinal axis while the gripping element is held in the palm of a user and the device is moved through water.

  • Patent number: 5591110
Abstract: A device comprises a support, and at least one flexible substantially cup-shaped element operatively connected to the support. The element includes a base, a rim and a first axis extending from the center of the base to the center of an area enclosed by the rim. It is reversible about an axis perpendicular to said first axis without being removed from the support. It is operable for a first function in a first position and a second function in a reversed position. The reversible cup-like shaped elements are selectively locatable with the support in multiple operational modes with the rim of the flexible and reversible elements directed differently relative to the element. This can be with the rim of the flexible and reversible elements directed substantially away from the support, or with the rim of some of the flexible and reversible elements directed substantially toward the support and the rim of other flexible and reversible elements directed substantially away from the support.

  • Patent number: 5472391
Abstract: An aquatic exercise device which has a dual configuration of (1) a hand-held buoyancy swimming kickboard; and (2) a buoyancy device worn around the human's midsection. The device is a buoyant board element which is substantially elongated, of greater length than width, and having large surface areas at opposite sides thereof. Affixed to and/or projecting from the buoyant board element are opposing limbs of band elements. When secured around the human midsection, the device is used in deep water to support the human in a relatively or substantially vertical position. This allows upright exercise while the human is freely suspended with the head and most or all of the neck above water, and the lower extremities bearing no weight, feet not touching bottom. When the band is folded and/or wrapped and fastened around the board or removed, the board can be used as a kickboard. An auxilliary buoyant element is provided for location in different selective positions relative to the band and/or board.

The device is a buoyant board element which is substantially elongated, of greater length than width, and having large surface areas at opposite sides thereof and without lateral extending flaps. Affixed to and/or projecting from the buoyant board element are opposing limbs of band element which extend at least about 20% of the board length. When secured around the human midsection, the device is used for exercise in deep water to support the human in a relatively or substantially vertical position. This allows upright exercise while the human is freely suspended with the head and most or all of the neck above water, and the lower extremities bearing no weight, feet not touching bottom.
