    Abstract: Disclosed is a hair conditioning composition comprising by weight: (a) from about 0.1% to about 15% of a silicone polymer containing quaternary groups wherein said silicone polymer comprises silicone blocks with greater than about 200 siloxane units; (b) a solvent for the silicone polymer which is a silicone copolyol, at a level such that the weight % of the silicone copolyol in its mixture with the quaternized silicone polymer is in the range of from about 1% to about 50%; (c) from about 0.001% to about 0.1% of a carbamate preservative; (d) an aqueous carrier.
