Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for relieving or treating pain, a method for relieving or treating pain by using same, and a method for screening for a pain-relieving substance. It has been confirmed that pain can be relieved by regulating the cerebellum, whose role in pain has not been known so far, by using the pharmaceutical composition and the method for relieving pain, according to the present invention. Therefore, the cerebellum can be used as a new treatment target for pain relief through the pharmaceutical composition and the method for relieving pain, according to the present invention. It has also been confirmed that, even when the cerebellum is used as a target for pain according to the present invention, there is no impact on motor function. Thus, the pharmaceutical composition and the method can be effectively used in practice in relieving or treating pain.
