  • Publication number: 20140371244
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method by use of a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory disease, colorectal cancer and prostate cancer, which contains an A3 adenosine receptor agonist, 2-chloro-N6-(3-iodobenzyl)-4?-thioadenosine-5?-N-methyluronamide (thio-Cl-IB-MECA), N6-(3-iodobenzyl)-4?-thioadenosine-5?-N-methyluronamide (thio-IB-MECA), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The pharmaceutical composition of the invention is significantly less toxic than conventional A3 adenosine agonists, and thus is useful for prevention or treatment of inflammatory disease. In addition, it more selectively inhibits the growth of androgen receptor-dependent or independent prostate cancer cells than other A3 adenosine receptor agonists and thus is useful for prevention or treatment of colorectal cancer or prostate cancer.

  • Patent number: 7573197
Abstract: A plasma display panel according to an aspect of the present invention includes a scan electrode and a sustain electrode formed on an upper substrate in parallel with each other, a first barrier rib formed on a lower substrate opposing the upper substrate in parallel with the scan electrode, and a second barrier rib formed in the direction intersecting the first barrier rib, wherein the scan electrode or the sustain electrode comprises at least two or more bus electrodes, at least one of the bus electrodes is formed to be superposed onto the first barrier rib. Therefore, there is an advantage that the brightness is increased, since the area of portions of the bus electrode formed on the discharge space is small and thus the aperture ratio is raised. In addition, the boundary image sticking phenomenon and luminescent spot phenomenon in the non-discharge cell by cross-talk with neighboring cells can be reduced, since the area of portions of the electrode superposed onto the first barrier rib is also decreased.

  • Patent number: 7501009
Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing high purity argon by combined cryogenic distillation and adsorption technologies is disclosed. Crude argon from a distillation column or a so-called argon column is passed to a system of adsorption vessels for further purification. Depressurization gas from adsorption is introduced back, in a controlled manner, to the distillation column and/or a compressor or other means for increasing pressure. Particulate filtration and getter purification may optionally be used.
