  • Patent number: 8012617
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a plate-shaped secondary battery constructed in a structure in which an electrode assembly of a cathode/separator/anode structure is mounted in a battery case, and the battery case is sealed by thermal welding, wherein the battery case is provided at a sealing portion around an electrode assembly receiving part thereof with an exhaust guide sealing portion configured in a structure in which a width of the exhaust guide sealing portion decreases from an inside of the sealing portion toward an outside of the sealing portion such that a sealing force of the exhaust guide sealing portion is first released, when high-pressure gas is generated in a battery cell, and therefore, the high-pressure gas is exhausted outside, the exhaust guide sealing portion being thermally welded with a sealing force less than that of a sealing portion located at a remaining region (‘a remaining sealing portion’), and the battery case is further provided at a middle of the exhaust guide sealing portion with a bridge

  • Patent number: 7988509
Abstract: A flow control mechanism is provided for controlling a stern flow field disturbed by cooling water discharged from the cooling water outlet of a ship. The flow control mechanism is located within a distance, which corresponds to three times the diameter of the cooling water outlet, from the cooling water outlet, is installed at an angle from 16° to 30° with respect to the horizontal plane of a hull, and has a vertical height, which is within a range from 0.2 times to 0.6 times the diameter of the cooling water outlet in a vertical direction of the hull, and a horizontal width, which is within a range from 0.5 times to 1.3 times the diameter of the cooling water outlet in a horizontal direction of the hull. Thereby, the flow control mechanism restores the distribution of wake flow that encounters a propeller so that the distribution of the wake flow is symmetrical around the central axis of the hull, and reduces the generation of a cavity.

  • Publication number: 20110097630
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a lithium ion polymer battery is provided in which in injecting electrolyte into a lithium ion polymer battery, the battery cell is immersed in an electrolyte impregnation bath to allow the electrolyte to be impregnated into the cell. The electrolyte can be impregnated simultaneously, and as the battery cell is activated, the electrolyte is settled down in the interior of the battery cell. Thus, when the battery cell is sealed, a phenomenon that the electrolyte is present at the sealed portion can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20040001441
Abstract: The present invention discloses an apparatus and method for controlling traffic congestion using a queue which can detect an abnormal traffic flow by using the queue, and branch and merge traffic classes according to the traffic congestion. In the abnormal traffic flow, the apparatus for controlling traffic congestion using the queue performs branch control in a congestion state and merge control in a non-congestion state by using a branch counter for accumulating a traffic which is not stored but discarded, and a merge counter for recording a difference between a transmission capacity allocated to the corresponding traffic flow and a volume of the actually-transmitted traffic, thereby improving quality of service.
