  • Patent number: 7579071
Abstract: A polishing pad is provided. The polishing pad includes a polishing layer composed of a polymeric matrix and liquid microelements embedded in the polymeric matrix. Open pores defined by the embedded liquid microelements are distributed across a surface of the polishing layer. Due to the microstructural open pores uniformly distributed across a surface of the polishing pad, a polishing operation can be performed at high precision. The polishing pad shows constant polishing performance during the polishing operation, can be stably used, and does not cause a wafer to be scratched. In addition, a method of manufacturing the polishing pad is provided. Since all components used to manufacture the polishing pad are in a liquid phase, manufacturing can be easily performed.

  • Publication number: 20080231025
Abstract: The present invention relates to an inflatable fabric, and more particularly to an inflatable fabric comprising two separated fabric layers which are woven at the same time using a weaving machine, and at least one an attachment area where a single layer of fabric is formed, wherein said attachment area is formed from at least a weave pattern of at least 13 yarns selected from the group consisting of a 2/2 basket weave pattern, a satin weave pattern, a partial attaching weave of a double layer weave pattern, and a combination thereof Since the attachment area of the inflatable fabric of the present invention comprises at least 13 yarns, air leakage can be minimized during inflation. Also, because sewing is unnecessary, manufacture cost of shock-absorbing products including an airbag can be reduced. Further, with a superior weaving property and surface smoothness, the fabric of the present invention can be utilized for shock-absorbing products when coated with synthetic resins.

  • Publication number: 20060273557
Abstract: The present invention relates to an inflatable two-layer fabric, and provides an inflatable two-layer fabric comprising two separated fabric layers, woven at the same time using a weaving machine, and an attachment area attaching said two fabric layers. Since the inflatable fabric of the present invention requires no sewing, it can significantly reduce manufacturing costs. Particularly, since all fabric layers are formed of a plain weave, airbags having a variety of shapes can be manufactured using a jacquard weaving machine. Further, since it has superior weaving property and smoothness, it can be utilized for side curtain airbags and other shock-absorbing products.

  • Patent number: 7029747
Abstract: An integral polishing pad includes an elastic support layer and a polishing layer, which is formed on the elastic support layer and has a higher hardness than the elastic support layer. The elastic support layer and the polishing layer are made from materials chemically compatible with each other so that a structural border between the elastic support layer and the polishing layer does not exist. In addition, the integral polishing pad also includes a transparent region, which is transparent to a light source used to detect the surface state of an object being polished and integrated with the other elements of the integral polishing pad. The integral polishing pad has high planarization efficiency and uniform properties, and thus can be reliably used for polishing. In addition, the integral polishing pad prevents a congestion of a polishing slurry and facilitates delivery of the polishing slurry.

  • Publication number: 20040029468
Abstract: The present invention relates to a side curtain typed air bag in order to prevent passengers from being injured by a side glass window or structure of a vehicle in the event of a rollover or rolling of the vehicle. The side curtain typed air bag of the present invention is characterized in that the upper and lower portions of air bag consisting of thermoplastic multi-filaments are combined by sewing, and a rubber component is coated or an adhesive film is laminated on upper portions and/or lower portions of air bag including sewing portion, an air leak amount per unit length of the sewing portion (measured at pressure of 2.5 KPa) is less than 0.8L/min. cm. The air bag of the present invention can safely protect passengers in the event of a rollover of the vehicle by suppressing the air leak.

The side curtain typed air bag of the present invention is characterized in that it has an air leak amount per unit length of the sewing portions of less than 0.8 L/min-cm (measured at a pressure of 2.5 Kpa), and is prepared by a method in which a rubber component is coated on a synthetic fiber fabrics by using a concave knife so that a rubber coating layer is thicker in the sewing portions (1) than in the remaining portions (2) out of the sewing portions to prepare fabrics for air bag, of which sewing portions are sewn. The air bag of the present invention can be prepared without any separate sealing process and can safely protect passengers in the event of a rollover of the vehicle by supressing the air leak.

  • Patent number: 5995587
Abstract: A time switch is disposed between a calling terminal and a called terminal to changeably form a communication loop with respect to an established call, so as to determine the origin of a call failure. For example, when only the calling party hears a voice from the called party, and the called party may not hear any voice, the time switch connects the output of the calling party to the input of the calling party itself to determine whether or not the calling party can hear their own voice. If the calling party can hear their voice, it will be determined that the call failure does not originate from the calling party. The time switch then connects the output of the called party to the input of the called party itself to determine whether or not the called party can hear their own voice. If the called party can not hear their voice, it will be determined that the call failure originated from the called party.
