The power supply apparatus in a computer system having an auxiliary memory device includes a power switch for switching on or off power supplied to the computer system, a power controller for generating a power off signal when it is detected that the power switch is turned off and drive active signals generated by the auxiliary memory device are deactivated, and generating a power on signal when it is detected that the power switch is turned on, and a switch mode power supply for converting alternating current power into direct current power and supplying the converted power to each apparatus included in the computer system, when the power on signal is received from the power controller, and cutting off the direct current power to the each apparatus, when the power off signal is received from the power controller.

    Abstract: A portable computer comprises a housing, a microphone holder mounted in the housing so as to be inserted into or projected from the housing, a groove formed in the housing to receive the microphone holder, and a microphone mounted on the free end of the microphone holder, wherein the microphone holder is projected from the groove when using the microphone. The microphone may be used with the microphone holder received in the groove. Preferably, the microphone holder may be made of a flexible material. The microphone holder may further comprise a first holder attached to the housing in the groove by a hinge, and a second holder attached to the first holder by a hinge to be folded over the first holder. In this case, the microphone is mounted on the free end of the second holder.
