Abstract: An actuator of an active headrest apparatus for a vehicle, which is operably connected to a headrest assembly and selectively allows a headrest of the headrest assembly to pop out forwards when a vehicle collision occurs, may include a housing installed on a seatback frame and formed with a guide groove, an operating plate elastically supported over the housing, an operating bracket arranged between the housing and the operating plate and having a guide projection slidably inserted into the guide groove of the housing, and an operating wire unit connecting the operating bracket with the headrest assembly, wherein the operating wire unit includes an operating wire and an operating wire retainer to slidably receive the operating wire therein.

Abstract: A seatback frame for vehicles has a lower cross member that prevents a back pad and a recliner hinge shaft from interfering with each other. The seatback frame includes a back frame and a lower cross member. The lower cross member includes a reinforcing part and a hinge-shaft cover. The back frame is hinged to a seat frame via a recliner hinge shaft. The lower cross member couples both sides of the lower end of the back frame to each other. The reinforcing part has the shape of an embossment which extends in a longitudinal direction of the lower cross member. The hinge-shaft cover is provided on the lower portion of the lower cross member, and is bent to surround the recliner hinge shaft.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a plastic rear seat pan for a vehicle by integrally injection molding long-glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic polypropylene (PP-LFT), which is a high-strength plastic material, to achieve reduction in vehicle weight and production costs. The method includes providing a composite material comprising a polypropylene sheet reinforced with 30% long glass fiber; and integrally injection molding the composite material in a desired shape to obtain an integrally formed plastic rear seat pan.
