  • Patent number: 8810213
Abstract: A power control method for tracking a Maximum Power Point (MPP) in a photovoltaic system including a solar cell and a boost converter. The power control method includes finding the MPP by applying a continuous ON/OFF signal to the boost converter as a first control signal for controlling a duty ratio of the boost converter, and maintaining an operating point of the photovoltaic system at the MPP by applying a second control signal for controlling the duty ratio to the boost converter depending on a constant-voltage command. In tracking an MPP in a photovoltaic system, an MPPT algorithm may remain at the MPP, without self oscillation, improving fast dynamic characteristics upon a change in solar radiation.

  • Patent number: 8810471
Abstract: A circularly polarized ceramic patch antenna having an extended ground for a vehicle is provided. The extended ground is formed under a patch antenna, has a predetermined thickness, is formed of a metal conductor having the same shape as the patch antenna, and is electrically connected to a ground plane formed on a board. The thickness of the extended ground is adjusted, so that it is possible to adjust radiation efficiency of the ceramic patch antenna that operates at a specific frequency band. Thus, the ceramic patch antenna has the effect of improving directionality of a radiation pattern formed in a direction parallel to the ground plane, and the effect of reducing a null point caused by a field effect to increase an antenna gain thereof.

  • Patent number: 8811609
Abstract: An information protection system includes a mobile terminal and an encryption module. The mobile terminal requests a key sequence by transmitting a message including a Personal Identification Number (PIN) number input by a user, and encrypts or decrypts one or more communication signals, including voice signals and data signals, based on the key sequence when the key sequence is received. The encryption module is connected to the mobile terminal. The encryption module encrypts a security key using the identifier and the PIN number of the mobile terminal, decrypts the encrypted security when requested by the mobile terminal, and transmits the key sequence generated based on the decrypted security key to the mobile terminal.

  • Patent number: 8812042
Abstract: As described above, when a particular PoC client participating in a PoC session requests media transmission to a PoC server during transmission of media from another PoC client, the PoC server transitions the PoC client with the floor to a suspended state by sending an MB Suspend message and grants the floor to the requesting PoC client. After media transmission of the interrupting PoC client, the PoC server returns the floor to the interrupted PoC client. Therefore, the privileged PoC client in a current PoC infrastructure interrupts the ongoing conversation and sends media, after which the floor is returned to the interrupted PoC client without issuing an explicit media request from the interrupted PoC client. Even in the pre-emptive case scenario where the pre-emptive PoC client interrupts the ongoing conversation, the conversation can be continued in a natural way.
