The terminal includes a plurality of sealing protrusions. The gasket is located between the terminal and cap plate and contacts the plurality of sealing protrusions. Together, the sealing protrusions and gasket establish a barrier which prevents electrolyte solution in the case from reaching and eroding the terminal.
