Abstract: A user interface method and apparatus which allow a user to intuitively control electronic devices connected to a home network by using a virtual 3D space layout diagram, and electronic devices and storage media therefor are provided. The user interface method includes: generating a virtual 3D space layout diagram based on 3D position information regarding at least one electronic device connected to a home network; displaying the generated virtual 3D space layout diagram; receiving an input signal based on the displayed virtual 3D space layout diagram; and performing a user interface function corresponding to the received input signal.

Abstract: An electronic device managing method and system, and a host electronic device using the method are disclosed. The host electronic device may be connected to a plurality of client electronic devices. The host electronic device may perform file storage state management, remaining battery capacity management, and file reproduction management to integrally and efficiently managing the plurality of client electronic devices. The file storage state management includes managing file storage states corresponding to the memories of the plurality of client electronic devices. The remaining battery capacity management includes managing the remaining capacity of the batteries of the plurality of client electronic devices. The file reproduction management includes managing reproduction of at least one of the files stored in the plurality of client electronic devices.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a device for searching contents by using time information or spatial information. The device for contents search includes a memory unit configured to store contents having spatial information and time information as search information and to further store groups into which the contents are classified by the spatial information or the time information. The device further includes a display unit configured to display a time information search tool and a spatial information search tool in response to receipt of a request for a contents search is received, and to further display the contents belonging to a searched group. Also the device includes an input unit configured to receive an input of search information and a control unit configured to search a group having the selected search information.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus to manage files by storing attribute information of the files in a non-hierarchical structure. At least one file and an attribute input window may be displayed on a display unit. At least one file attribute may be input through the window and displayed in the form of a graphical user interface object, such as an icon. By dragging and dropping either the file to the icon or the icon to the file, the file attribute may be input into the file in a non-hierarchical structure.

Abstract: A method of generating search information enables efficient navigation of content and an image apparatus therefore. The method of generating search information includes extracting and storing a portion of a plurality of searched screens, and generating search information using the stored screens. Accordingly, search information regarding digital content can be generated in a more convenient manner. In addition, since searched screens are generated as search information, search information which enables more efficient navigation can be provided to the user.
