Abstract: An encoding method comprises receiving a plurality of video frames including first and third reference frames (F1, F3) and a target frame (F2); generating a temporary frame based on assumed constant-velocity motion between the first and third reference frames (F1, F3); comparing the temporary frame target frame to detect nonlinear motion (errors in the temporary frame) between the first and third reference frames and to produce motion vector information between the target frame and at least one of the reference frames according to the comparison; and encoding the reference frames and the motion vector information.

Abstract: A method and apparatus generate a face animation in a computer system. An input of a face image is received. A head model and a skull model are determined for the face image. The head model is matched with the skull model, and a face model is generated. At least one parameter for the generated face model is adjusted according to an expression of the input face image, thus being capable of allowing a user to easily generate a face model and a facial animation with various expressions without manually adjusting various parameters.

Abstract: An anti-rolling device of a ball and socket joint prevents the rolling movement of a moving body coupled to the ball effectively without hindering omni-directional tilt rotational movement of the moving body, i.e. a moving part relative to the socket, a fixing part. Abstract: Disclosed is a temperature measuring device. The temperature measuring device includes: a thermo-well tube; and a cable or wire type temperature measuring means which is installed in a thermo-well tube, wherein temperature measuring means has temperature detecting sensors disposed at an intermediate portion thereof, and the temperature detecting sensors can be moved axially in the thermo-well tube by applying tension to both ends of the cable or wire type temperature measuring means. Abstract: Disclosed is an automatic video summarization device and method using a fuzzy OC-SVM (one-class support vector machine) algorithm. A user's subjective decision is reflected in order to generate an effective video summary, and a method for generating flexible video summary information which satisfies the user's environment or requirements is provided. Important video segments are extracted from a given video, and a sequence of key frames is extracted from the video segments, and hence, the user can catch the contents of the video quickly and access desired video scenes.

The present invention is to describe the changing shape of an object in a video segment. The present invention is a representative shape-sequence image obtained by overlapping shapes of an object with keeping its position on the screen and a texture descriptor for the sequence image. Segment-to-segment matching is possible by measuring similarity between shape sequence images using a texture descriptor applied on the image.
