  • Publication number: 20080059388
Abstract: A wireless positioning method includes determining a plurality of reference positions, locating a device on each of the plurality of reference positions, and obtaining a FIMF for a count value obtained by counting a time of arrival between the device on the each reference position and each anchor; obtaining an EOMF for the each reference position by using the FIMF for the each reference position; obtaining a FIMF for a count value between the device and the each anchor and obtaining an EOMF for the device by using the FIMF for the device when positioning of the device is started; determining a reference position having an EOMF most similar to that of the device from the plurality of reference positions, as a basic reference position; and calculating a position of the device by comparing a FIMF of the basic reference position with the FIMF of the device.

  • Publication number: 20070223617
Abstract: An multi-port based MIMO antenna receiver is designed to remove signal interferences occurring among MIMO antennas in the use. In the MIMO antenna receiver, a multi-port unit is connected to MIMO antennas, and a signal interference remover receives receipt signals from the MIMO antennas through the multi-port unit and adds each of the receipt signals with another one of the receipt signals to which preset weight values for minimizing signal interference are multiplied in order to remove interferences from the receipt signals. A phase converter converts the signals from the signal interference remover into multi-phase signals of different phases. A signal detector detects I and Q signals from the multi-phase signals converted by the phase converter.

  • Publication number: 20070195860
Abstract: A chaotic wireless communication apparatus for transmitting/receiving data based on a chaotic signal is provided. The apparatus includes a chaotic Radio Frequency (RF) processing means and a digital modem. The chaotic RF processing means includes a chaotic RF receiving unit for extracting a spreading digital signal from an RF signal using a chaotic signal as a carrier signal, and a chaotic RF transmitting unit for transforming the spreading digital signal into the chaotic signal. The digital modem a digital demodulating unit for dispreading spreading digital data extracted from the chaotic RF receiving unit and creating information data to be received, and a digital demodulating unit for spreading information data to be transmitted and creating the spreading digital signal.

  • Publication number: 20070075873
Abstract: A location awareness system using RFID and a wireless communication apparatus for the location awareness are provided. The location awareness system includes a RFID tag, a wireless communication apparatus for location awareness, more than three anchors, a coordinator, and a server. The wireless communication apparatus identifies the target object with the RFID attached through communicating with the RFID tag. The anchors receive information about the identified target object and measuring a distance by communication with the wireless communication apparatus using a predetermined wireless communication scheme. The coordinator collects the measure distance and the information from each of the anchors. The server calculates a location of the target object by receiving information about the measured distances and the target objects from the coordinator and calculating the location of the wireless communication apparatus using the received information.
