    Abstract: Provided are a fast channel change apparatus based on multiple multicasts communication in an IPTV network, and a method thereof. In the fast channel change system, after separately generating at least one multicast stream obtained by applying different time delays respectively to original multicast stream to be broadcast, a channel server dynamically analyzes information regarding the at least one multicast stream. After querying the channel server for information regarding an optimal multicast stream and receiving the response to the query, a user terminal joins a multicast group on the optimal multicast stream through a router. After a predetermined time is elapsed, the user terminal joins a multicast group of the original multicast stream. Thus, it is possible to easily and inexpensively embody a fast channel change function network based on multiple multicasts communication in an IPTV network.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for transceiving a multi-view video to provide a two-dimensional (2D) video service as well as a three-dimensional (3D) video service or a multi-view 3D video service is provided. When a 2D video or a 3D stereo video or multi-view 3D video is transmitted in a 2D video synthesized by a video synthesizer, format supplementary information about the synthesized video is inserted to the PSI, PES or ES_Descriptor. The synthesized 2D video is decoded by a single video decoder and the decoded synthesized video is recovered to an original video by a video recovery unit with reference to the format supplementary information.

    Abstract: An interactive advertisement system and a method thereof are provided. The interactive advertisement system includes an advertiser server, a local advertisement server, and a service receiver. The advertiser server requests registration of advertisement information by setting advertisement ID including target service areas and provides services in response to an order of available services corresponding to the advertisement information. The local advertisement server stores and registers the advertisement information including the advertisement ID corresponding to the registration request of the advertiser server, multicasts the registered advertisement information with the advertisement ID through an IP network, and transmits information related to a service request to the advertiser server.
