    Abstract: Disclosed in an adaptive reclosing method using a variable dead time control algorithm in a power transmission line. The method is used to remove faults induced by a circuit breaker being operated by a protective relay and to reclose the circuit breaker after a dead time following faults occurring, thereby automatically and promptly re-establishing power transmission in the network and reliably maintaining the power supply by the transmission system.
