  • Publication number: 20240039895
Abstract: A request to establish an encrypted VPN connection between a network and the provider network via a dedicated direct physical link and a set of resources of the provider network is received. An isolated virtual network (IVN) is established to implement an encryption virtual private gateway to be used for the connection. Protocol processing engines (PPEs) are instantiated within the IVN, address information of the PPEs is exchanged with the external network and an encrypted VPN tunnel is configured between the PPEs and the external network. Routing information pertaining to the set of resources is provided to the external network via at least one of the encrypted VPN tunnels, enabling routing of customer data to the set of resources within the provider network from the external network via an encrypted VPN tunnel implemented over a dedicated direct physical link between the external network and the provider network.

  • Patent number: 11831611
Abstract: A request to establish an encrypted VPN connection between a network external to a provider network connected to the provider network via a dedicated direct physical link and a set of resources of the provider network is received. A new isolated virtual network (IVN) is established to implement an encryption virtual private gateway to be used for the connection. One or more protocol processing engines (PPEs) are instantiated within the IVN, address information of the one or more PPEs is exchanged with the external network and a respective encrypted VPN tunnel is configured between each of the PPEs and the external network.

  • Publication number: 20090190582
Abstract: A streaming media receiving box in a packet network includes a first transceiver to transmit and receive communications over a packet network; a second transceiver to transmit and receive communications over a local area network; and a processor cooperating with the first and second transceivers. The processor can receive a selection to provide a media stream. Further, the processor can operate in a master mode, including responsive to the selection, receiving the media stream from the packet network over the first transceiver; and transmitting the received media stream to another streaming media box over the second transceiver. An alternative slave mode embodiment can be provided. Some embodiments can include both master and slave modes, and can switch between slave and master modes depending on availability of the media stream from another streaming media box operating in master mode. Optionally, ease of user channel configuration is provided.

  • Publication number: 20090041016
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and device are described for managing user call experiences in a packet network. User devices are grouped into network clusters. A network infrastructure device receives objective quality information for calls on a packet network for each user device in a network cluster in the packet network. A portion of the user devices in the network cluster is selected, and subjective quality information representing a call experience rating is obtained from each selected user device. The network infrastructure device generates a signature for each user device in the network cluster using the objective and any subjective quality information. The signature represents a user experience during a call, indicates network elements specific to the call and a user device configuration during the call. The signatures of the portion are analyzed to determine a golden signature for the network cluster, the golden signature representing a preferred call experience.
