Abstract: Disclosed are various systems and methods for monitoring and maintaining networks, such as networks associated with a wireless access point. In an aspect, a user device that was connected the wireless access point and loses connectivity to the access point can receive network parameters for implementing a new wireless network, where the network parameters are associated with the network as implemented by the wireless access point that is no longer available. The user device can activate a new wireless hotspot mode using the received network parameters. The resulting new wireless hotspot can implement various aspects of the wireless access point and associated network. The new wireless hotspot enabled by the user device can allow other devices, previously connected to the access point, to automatically connect to the new wireless hotspot.

Abstract: Systems and methods for inventory management integrating subscriber and targeting data are provided. The method includes tracking historical inventory during a first time period for each of a plurality of advertising spots, the number of impressions for each spot. Each impression is categorized by segment. The method further includes predicting a future inventory available for a second time period based on the tracked inventory, and subtracting, on a segment-by-segment basis, inventory that is sold from the future inventory.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable media are described for suggesting an action based on multiple descriptors within a textual communication (e.g. email, text message). In one embodiment, event descriptors within an email are identified and displayed to the email recipient with an indication that the descriptors are selectable. Upon receiving the selection of at least two descriptors, an action is suggested to the recipient for acceptance. Upon receiving the acceptance, the proposed action is performed.

Abstract: Generally, an illustrative system for optimizing an advertising campaign on a mobile device includes a graphic user interface for accessing by at least one of a carrier and an advertiser, a data store, a campaign delivery engine for delivering advertisements into content provider spots and recording events into the data store, and an optimization engine. The optimization engine can support the graphic user interface and analyze one or more campaign events each linked with corresponding subscriber demographic data obtained from the data store for adjusting the advertising campaign during its run. The illustrative system can also support one or more methods disclosed herein.

Abstract: A method, system, and medium are provided for facilitating navigation data updates. One embodiment of the method includes receiving an indication that a navigation route is unavailable. The indication that the navigation route is unavailable is provided by a user of a mobile device. A notification of the unavailable navigation route is communicated to a navigation server. The unavailable navigation route is excluded in subsequently provided navigation routes.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for provisioning a mobile station with a destination communication address, such as a public safety answering point address for instance, during de-registration of the mobile station from a cellular radio access network (RAN). During de-registration of the mobile station from the cellular RAN, a location of the mobile station may be determined. The location may then be used as a basis to look up a communication address of a PSAP or other such destination, and the communication address may be provided to the mobile station in a de-registration response message, or the de-registration response message may be otherwise used as a basis to convey the communication address to the mobile station. Thereafter, when the mobile station seeks to place an emergency service call while not registered with the RAN, the mobile station may conveniently retrieve the communication address and place the call to that address.

Abstract: A system is provided for presenting media instances on communication devices. The system includes a processor on a communication device, a source component, and a target component. The source component, when executed by the processor, parses a selected media container to identify a set of media instances of a first type and constructs a media instance list that comprises the identified set of media instances, wherein the selected media container is inaccessible by an activated media presenter. The target component, when executed by the processor, enables the activated media presenter to present at least two of the set of media instances from the media instance list to a user interface without deactivating between presentations.

Abstract: Systems, products, and methods are disclosed for enabling access to encrypted data stored on a portable storage medium. In one embodiment, an attempt to communicate with a certain intranet is made. If this attempt succeeds, then access is granted to the data stored on the portable storage device, but if access to the intranet is not granted, then access to the data stored on the portable storage device is also not granted. Denying access can include preventing the portable storage device from even being recognized by a requesting device, being recognized but not presented, or can include showing that such encrypted data exists, but denying access to the data in an unencrypted format.

Abstract: A method is provided for state based advertisement messaging. The method comprises obtaining state information from a state engine, wherein the state information relates to an advertisement that has been displayed in the mobile device. The method also includes selecting an advertisement from a plurality of advertisements, based at least in part on the state information. The method additionally comprises displaying the selected advertisement in the application, and updating the state information for the selected advertisement when the selected advertisement has been displayed in the application.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for delivery of a message based on a status of a receiving device. In a particular embodiment, a method provides, in a first wireless communication device, receiving first user input from a user indicating a message for transmission to a second wireless communication device. The method further provides receiving second user input from the user indicating that the message should not be delivered to the second wireless communication device when a status of the second wireless communication device satisfies a criteria. The method further provides transferring the message and an indication of the second user input to a wireless communication network, wherein, based on the indication of the second user input, the wireless communication network does not deliver the message to the second wireless communication device if the criteria is satisfied.

One embodiment of the method includes receiving a touch input to a touchscreen display area provided by a user of the mobile device. The touch input selects a predetermined region within the touchscreen display area. Incident to the touch input of the predetermined region, a mechanical indicator on the rear of the mobile device is physically manipulated to provide an indication to the user that the predetermined region was selected by the user.

The method comprises electronically reading a first serial number on an electronic device, a second serial number on a point-of-sale package containing the electronic device, and a third serial number stored in a memory of the electronic device; storing the first serial number, the second serial number, and a third serial number in a non-transitory memory separate from the electronic device; and automatically comparing the first serial number, the second serial number, and the third serial number. The method further comprises automatically reading from the memory of the electronic device a software version identity associated with software installed on the electronic device and automatically comparing the software version identity with an approved software version identity. The method further comprises, when any miscompare occurs, automatically presenting a notification of an error.

A user may configure the handheld device to automatically shift to a pre-determined location in the handheld device. The handheld device may implement software that records keystrokes. Based on the majority of keystrokes determined from each hand, the keyboard may shift to the hand with the majority of keystrokes. The handheld device may implement a sensory mechanism that records touches on the handheld device. Based on the touches, the keyboard in the handheld device may shift to or away from the hand touching the handheld device or the hand recording the majority of touches on the handheld device.
