  • Publication number: 20240429869
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communications that support multiple antenna operation. In a first aspect, an apparatus for wireless communications includes an amplifier module comprising a first input node, a second input node, a first output node, a second output node, and a third output node, with the amplifier comprising a first processing path configured to couple the first input node to the first output node; and a second processing path configured to couple the second input node to the second output node in a first mode and to couple the second input node to the third output node in a second mode. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

  • Patent number: 7558542
Abstract: A transmitter circuit is disclosed for use in a multi-frequency wireless communication system. The transmitter circuit includes an input modulation unit, a phase modulation system, and an amplitude modulation system. The input modulation unit receives at least one signal that is representative of information to be modulated. The phase modulation system is coupled to the input modulation unit and provides a phase modulation on an output signal. The phase modulation system includes a phase detection system and an adjustable power amplifier. The amplitude modulation system is coupled to the input modulation unit and provides amplitude modulation on the output signal. The amplitude modulation system includes an amplitude detection system for providing an output signal to the adjustable power amplifier, and a variable gain amplifier coupled to the adjustable power amplifier.

  • Publication number: 20090161647
Abstract: A wireless system has an uplink chip rate processing architecture in which at least two groups of registers are provided, each group of register storing a set of time slot configuration parameters. A storage stores a sequence of time slot configuration set identifiers each identifying one of the groups of registers, each identifier corresponding to a time slot. A chip rate processing unit processes a stream of data over a plurality of time slots in which at each of the time slots, and the chip rate processing unit is configured according to the set of time slot configuration parameters stored in the group of register associated with the time slot configuration set identifier corresponding to the time slot.

  • Patent number: 7353006
Abstract: A radio frequency output power control system for use in communication systems is disclosed. The power control system is used for a modulation scheme having a non-constant amplitude envelope and comprises a power amplifier having a power amplifier input for receiving an input signal with a non-constant amplitude envelope, a power control input for receiving a power control input, and a power amplifier output for providing an amplified output signal. The power control system also includes a track and hold circuit for tracking a measured reference power signal that is representative of a modulation of the input signal, and subtraction means for subtracting an output of the track and hold circuit from the measured reference power signal to provide a difference signal that is coupled to the power control input.
