  • Patent number: 12595069
Abstract: A hold open rod has a control sleeve, an outer cylinder, lock balls, a lock sleeve, a piston, a piston head, a release spring, and a lock spring. The control sleeve has first and second cavity sections, an inner radial surface, a CS channel, and a pin. The outer cylinder has an OC inner cavity, OC inner and outer radial surfaces, an OC axial end wall, lock ball apertures, and a pin guide slot. The lock balls are configured to pass through the lock ball apertures. The piston has first and second sections. The piston head has an outer radial surface, a channel, and a piston bore. • Patent number: 12560911
Abstract: Certain manufacturing processes, such as crude oil refining, operate continuously, wherein a facility produces one product as the feed stock for that product changes and/or the output product transitions from one product to another. Inputs to the process include physical items (e.g., feed stock) as well as control inputs (e.g., temperature, pressure, etc.), and often a change in one affects one or more others. As a result, a facility may take time to reach a steady state. An artificial intelligence is provided to model the facility and process and generate a second command input to reduce the time required for the facility to reduce the lag time until the facility has returned to a steady state.

  • Publication number: 20260048848
Abstract: A hold open rod has a lock sleeve, an outer cylinder, a lock mechanism, a plurality of lock balls, a retention sleeve, a piston including a piston head, a release spring, and a lock spring. The hold open rod is configured to move between an unlocked configuration (e.g., stowed) to a locked and loaded configuration. Relative movement (e.g., axially and/or radially) of components in the hold open rod assembly enable both configurations. The lock mechanism is positioned with the lock sleeve and the outer cylinder, and mechanically engages the piston head. The pin is positioned with the lock sleeve and a guide slot in the outer cylinder. The plurality of lock balls engage the lock sleeve, outer cylinder, and retention sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20250284760
Abstract: Most chemical processes are nonlinear in nature and are time-varying in nature. Some processes are fast changing and some are slow changing in nature. As the operating conditions change, it is important that the model and its parameters be updated to realize the benefits of model-based control. Systems and methods are provided for updating a model, the method including detecting a change in an output of the model responsive to providing a set of inputs to the model, in response to detecting the change in the output, triggering a new model detection flag using a blockwise recursive partial least squares (RPLS) algorithm. The model is further strengthened by using a delayed just-in-time update.

  • Patent number: 12252263
Abstract: A rod assembly includes a tubular rod body formed from a composite material and a localized sleeve installed to the rod body. The sleeve is secured to the rod body by application of heat to the sleeve material. A bushing is located radially between the rod body and the sleeve. The bushing is configured to absorb thermal energy of the application of heat. A door and hold open rod assembly of an aircraft includes a door, and a hold open rod assembly secured to the door. The hold open rod assembly is configured to support the door in an opened position when the hold open rod is deployed. The hold open rod assembly includes a tubular rod body formed from a composite material, and a localized sleeve installed to the rod body. A bushing is located radially between the rod body and the sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20150205269
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relates to a method and system for monitoring a controlled variable of a multi variable predictive controller in an industrial plant. The method comprises receiving predetermined tuning parameters and at least one gain value for the controlled variable from the data source. The method further comprises determining relationship indicator values by a processing unit based on predetermined functions. The inputs to the predetermined functions are the received predetermined tuning parameters and the at least one gain value. The relationship indicator values provide information about the relation between the controlled variable and the related process variables affecting the controlled variable. The controlled variable, related process variables affecting the controlled variable and the determined relationship indicator values are displayed on the GUI using which the operator monitors the controlled variable.
