  • Publication number: 20240374330
Abstract: A surgical robotic system is configured to enable user confirmation of whether one or more access ports are standard or longer length (e.g., bariatric type access ports). The system includes a surgeon console having one or more hand controllers and a head tracking device configured to detect surgeon's attempt to actuate an end effector of an instrument disposed within the access port. The system prevents actuation of the end effector until the insertion depth of the instrument is sufficient or the user confirms that the access port is of standard length, e.g., less than a preset length threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240378884
Abstract: A remote location monitoring system identifies a place of interest and a subset of artificial satellites that can capture images of the place of interest within a threshold period. The next available artificial satellite with image sensors that can capture images of the place of interest earliest is selected and the cache heating signal is transmitted to be stored in a cache associated with the next available image sensor. The cache heating signal activates particular image sensors for image capture and enables the transmission of meaningful images that enable monitoring the place of interest.

  • Publication number: 20240381380
Abstract: Procedures, methods, architectures, apparatuses, systems, devices, and computer program products are described that may be implemented in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) for sidelink (SL) communication. In one representative method, the WTRU estimates a primary direction for a SL transmission. The first WTRU derives a paired direction associated with the primary direction. SL control information (SCI) sensing in the primary and paired directions may be performed to detect SL transmissions and/or reservations from other WTRUs. The WTRU may select a SL resource using any sensed SCI in the primary and paired directions. The WTRU may proceed to transmit SL control and data over the selected SL resource, such as in a SL slot. For example, the transmission of SL control information may include SCI transmission in the primary and paired directions in the same symbols of a slot.

  • Publication number: 20240377991
Abstract: After receiving a command from a host system to store data, a memory sub-system queues the command to allocate pages of memory cells in a plurality of dies based on a determination that each of the plurality of dies is available to perform a data programming operation for the command. Based on the page application, the memory sub-system generates a portion of a media layout to at least map logical addresses of the data identified in the command to the allocated pages and receives the data from the host system. The memory sub-system stores the data into the pages using a multi-pass programming technique, where an atomic multi-pass programming operation can be configured to use at least two pages in separate planes in one or more dies in the plurality of integrated circuit dies to program at least a portion of the data.

  • Patent number: 12141146
Abstract: An apparatus, method and computer program product for query optimization in a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), wherein an optimizer accesses a query expression repository (QER) storing planning and execution information for QEs from previous queries, wherein the QEs comprise table relations, intermediate results and/or final results of operations in the previous queries. Additionally, dynamic join indexes representing QE results are created for high-value QEs selected from the QER and maintained within a DJI repository. During query plan creation for a current or subsequent query, the optimizer searches the QER and DJI repository for DJIs created for high-value QEs corresponding to QEs contained in the current or subsequent query. DJIs corresponding to the matching QEs are used in the query planning phase to rewrite the current or subsequent user query so that stored QE results are used to answer QEs contained in the current or subsequent query.

  • Patent number: 12141023
Abstract: A system is provided for monitoring computing server performance using an artificial intelligence-based plugin. In particular, the system may be configured to continuously aggregate computing performance metric data of a computing device in the network, such as a server. The system may analyze the performance metric data using an artificial intelligence-based process to identify the hardware and/or software layers affected by computing workloads. Based on identifying the affected layers, the system may predict the impact of future workloads on the server and, based on the predictions, generate one or more recommendations for remediating server outages or downtime which may be caused by unanticipated volumes of network traffic, system calls, and the like. In this way, the system may provide an efficient way to optimize the use of computing resources within the network environment.
