  • Publication number: 20210200641
Abstract: System and method for implementing parallel Change File Tracking (CFT) between a distributed File Server Virtual Machine (FSVM) system and a scale-out backup system using underlying snapshot technology. The FSVM system executes efficient assignments of backup streams between worker nodes of the backup system and computing nodes of the FSVM system based on the number of available worker nodes at the backup system. The assignment of backup streams allows for parallel processing of incremental backup data based on successive data file snapshots. The parallel incremental backup may, for example, be per node, per share, or per data size across nodes or shares.

  • Patent number: 5217650
Abstract: Methods for preparing highly conductive, oriented polymers are disclosed. In the preferred embodiment, solution of conductive polymer is cast onto the surface of a stretchable support material, and oriented polymer is produced by removing solvent from the solution and stretching the support material. The invention is particularly useful for preparing oriented films of polyaniline which films have been shown to exhibit conductivities in the range of 300-2,500 S/cm.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 27, 1990
Date of Patent: June 8, 1993
Assignee: Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania
