    Abstract: An alarm setting device includes a time wheel cooperative with the gear train of a timepiece to rotate by one revolution through twelve hours, an alarm setting wheel used to set the alarm setting time, an alarm cam coaxially disposed between the time wheel and the alarm setting wheel for permitting the alarm cam to rotate about and move along the axis, and a cam mechanism acting on the alarm cam to permit the relative rotation between the time wheel and alarm setting wheel when one of these wheels is rotated both in the forward and reverse directions.
