  • Patent number: 11178855
Abstract: The invention provides a device, a system and a method for handling, grading and vaccinating living birds, wherein the device comprises a main member; a receiving member rotatably attached to the main member and configured to receive and hold the birds by their scapula-humeral joints in a first position and to release the birds in a second position; and a locking member movably attached to the main member and configured to lock the receiving member in the first position and to release the receiving member to rotate from the first position to the second position to release the birds.

  • Patent number: 10406667
Abstract: A drill has a housing, a motor mounted in the housing having a drive spindle, an output spindle rotationally driven by the drive spindle via a torque clutch. The torque clutch slips when the torque across the torque clutch exceeds a predetermined value. The predetermined value of the torque at which the torque clutch starts to slip is adjustable via a torque threshold adjustment mechanism. A sleeve is rotatably mounted on the output spindle. The drive spindle drives the sleeve via a gear system at a same rate and direction as the output spindle so that there is no relative rotation between the sleeve and output spindle when the torque clutch is not slipping and at a different rate and/or direction so that there is relative rotation between the sleeve and output spindle when the torque clutch is slipping.

  • Patent number: 10408316
Abstract: A planetary gear system with a sun gear, a ring gear co-axial with the sun gear, at least one planetary gear meshing with both the sun gear and the ring gear, and a planetary gear carrier which rotationally supports the at least one planetary gear. A torque clutch is supported by and connected directly between two of the sun gear, the ring gear, the at least one planetary gear and the planetary gear carrier. The torque clutch prevents relative rotation when an acting torque is below a predetermined torque value and allows relative rotation when the acting torque is above the predetermined torque value. A torque threshold adjustment mechanism is provided for adjusting the predetermined value of the torque at which the torque clutch slips.

  • Publication number: 20150154629
Abstract: A computer system enables a financial institution to award an account reward points when a customer remits a payment in a timely basis. Consequently, the financial institution encourages repayment of debt and recognizes good behavior through reward points every time a payment is received on-time. Each time a customer pays on-time, a credit card company may assign reward points to the customer's account for the amount of the payment. When a payment for a loan has been received in accordance with a reward policy, a number of reward points may be awarded to a customer that is dependent on a payment amount. For example, when the payment amount is at least as great as a minimum due and not greater than a balance due, setting the number of reward points to a constant multiplied by the payment amount. However, the reward points may be determined in a non-linear fashion.

  • Patent number: 8655626
Abstract: A computer-aided method for carrying out the structural design of a part subjected to damages having significant effects on its structural integrity, such as an aircraft fuselage section subjected to a propeller blade release event, is provided. The method includes: obtaining finite element models that include all the relevant information for an optimization analysis for the un-damaged part and for at least one possible damaged part; defining at least one design variable of the part and at least one design constraint and one load case for the un-damaged part and for the damaged part; providing at least one simulation module for analyzing one or more failure modes of the part; iteratively modifying the design variables of the part for the purpose of optimizing a target function by analyzing simultaneously the un-damaged part and the at least one damaged part using the at least one simulation module.

  • Patent number: 4577817
Abstract: A three-dimensional vacuum envelope is provided for storing compressible articles and particularly survival equipment such as a parachute. It includes upper and lower walls of flexible, substantially gas-impermeable material. One of the upper and lower walls includes an integral loop defining a pouch in fluid communication with the remainder of the envelope. The pouch is pivotable with respect to the envelope and may be used for containing parts which must be independently maneuverable even after storage and evacuation.
