  • Patent number: 11965688
Abstract: There is disclosed a transport refrigeration unit comprising an enclosed cargo space, an outer refrigeration cycle configured to transfer heat from the cargo space exteriorly of the cargo space, to cool the cargo space; a container installed within the cargo space; and an inner refrigeration cycle configured to transfer heat from an interior of the container, to cool the interior of the container. There is also disclosed a portable refrigeration device for use in such nested cooling arrangements, methods of adapting a transport refrigeration unit and/or portable refrigeration device for such use, a refrigeration module for such use, and an associated method of operating a transport refrigeration unit.

  • Publication number: 20230250792
Abstract: This invention discloses a method and a device for the capture of wave power, exploiting the maximum potential energy of each wave, based on obtaining the maximum imbalance possible between the Thrust Force and the Weight acting upon the capture elements on the passage of each wave, slowing and releasing them both at their high points and at their low points by means of the use of blocking systems, maximizing the submerged and emerged volumes of the next movement, likewise the travel during which the capture elements are accelerated due to the exploitation of their kinetic energy and their release in the transmission of efforts at the moments when the points of equilibrium between the rising and falling maximums are reached, thus generating an increase in the potential energy captured.

  • Publication number: 20220245740
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide apparatus and methods for efficiently modifying existing travel reservations stored in a GDS using a graphical user interface for issuing commands to the GDS. These include commands that would typically require manual entry of commands and arguments using a command-line interface. The graphicaluser interface can be displayed on a display device of a computer system and used by an agent to modify the reservation by selecting a different flight, to change seating arrangements, to meet basic needs, such as wheelchair assistance and food accommodations, and to help reduce any costs charged to the user as a result of the changes as the modifications can be entered more quickly and with fewer errors.

  • Patent number: 11396218
Abstract: A method for providing supplemental flow control of working fluid through a transport climate control circuit during a start-stop cooling operation mode is provided. The method includes closing a main liquid suction solenoid valve disposed between a condenser and an evaporator of the transport climate control circuit when the compressor is OFF. The method also includes monitoring a climate controlled space temperature within a climate controlled space. When the climate controlled space temperature is greater than or equal to a setpoint temperature, the method includes turning a compressor ON, and opening the main liquid suction solenoid valve when a suction pressure at the suction port of the compressor is less than or equal to a predetermined suction pressure threshold. When the climate controlled space temperature is less than or equal to the setpoint temperature, the method includes turning the compressor OFF, and closing the main liquid suction solenoid valve.

  • Patent number: 4927255
Abstract: An auxiliary rear view mirror device has left and right auxiliary mirrors and support plates which mount onto the back of the frame of an existing main rear view mirror. An adjustable support brace can connect the two support plates. A support arm assembly connects the support plates to the associated auxiliary mirrors, and provides for independent adjustment of mirror position in three dimensions, in addition to permitting angulation adjustment for each mirror. This can include a rack and toothwheel for lateral adjustment, and a threaded post for elevational adjustment. A vertical hinge can be employed for front-to-back adjustment. The assembly can be provided as original equipment, including a main mirror and associated auxiliary mirrors, or as assemblies to attach onto an existing rear view mirror.

  • Patent number: 4238687
Abstract: A system for generating power from the passage of motor vehicles over a roadway which includes a highly efficient linkage for connecting a treadle or rocker plate mounted in the roadbed with one or more turbine wheels. The turbine wheels are affixed to a common shaft that is adapted to drive a generator for providing work. The linkage is constructed so that losses throughout the system are minimized whereby a relatively high percentage of the total input energy is converted to useful work.
