  • Publication number: 20220164713
Abstract: User responses to prompts or queries are classified or scored using explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) according to levels of a defined proficiency scale for selected subject matter. Recommendations for improving user proficiency are generated using XAI based on the proficiency classifications or scores and underlying rationales leading to those classifications or scores. XAI can be employed for identifying user responses that are consistent with predetermined cheating patterns. Prompts and queries can be presented, user responses classified or scored, and recommendation generated in a single session, i.e., in near real time. Disclosed methods can be advantageously employed for assessing user proficiency, and providing recommendations for improving proficiency, in a wide variety of subject areas, including spoken, written, or signed human languages.

  • Publication number: 20220162658
Abstract: In various aspects and embodiments, the invention provides microbial cells and methods for producing advanced glycosylation products from lower glycosylated intermediates. The microbial cell expresses one or more UDP-dependent glycosyl transferase enzymes in the cytoplasm, for glycosylation of the intermediates. When incubating the microbial strain with a plant extract or fraction thereof comprising the intermediates, these glycosylated intermediates are available for further glycosylation by the cell, and the advanced glycosylation products can be recovered from the media and/or microbial cells.

  • Publication number: 20220165309
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, are provided, for generating video anchors for a video. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining key moment identifiers for a video, where each key moment identifier includes a time index value specifying a playback time in the video, and is indicative subject matter of the video that has been determined to meet one or more interest criteria that define salient topics within the video. For each key moment identifier, a video anchor is generated, where each video anchor indicates a playback time for the video, and may include an image of a frame that occurs near the playback time. Upon a selection of the video anchor by the user, an instruction in the video anchor causes a video player to begin playback of the video at the playback time specified by the video anchor.

Abstract: A system and method for enhancing assignment of debtor accounts to a plurality of collection parties is presented. The preferred embodiment is capable of optimizing the way by which individual performance entities are assigned to collect on actionable individual debtor accounts by a creditor. An analysis solution uses algorithms to analyze gathered data and to provide a score to each collection party based upon the traits of the individual collection parties, debtor accounts, creditor, externally acquired data, and constraints upon all of the parties involved. The system and method are also capable of enhancing an individual borrower's credit score depending on the risk involved with providing credit to that particular borrower based upon the collectability upon default. One embodiment of the invention would include a risk analysis and compliance assessment system for supply entities to evaluate potential performance entities or other entities.

  • Publication number: 20220151758
Abstract: The present invention relates to a bio-functionalized fibrous structure with a core/shell architecture for partial or total repair of human tendons or ligaments. The architecture based on a core/shell system grants to the fibrous structure a specific physical and mechanical behaviour when it is repeatedly mechanically loaded, as happens with a native tendon or ligament in constant usage in the human body. The core is based on several sub-components, namely braided structures parallelly assembled, which are enclosed by a braided shell. Additionally, a selective bio-functionalization of the two parts of the core/shell structure can be applied in order to selectively improve or avoid the in vivo cell adhesion.

  • Publication number: 20220159071
Abstract: Techniques to using distributed ledgers to confirm service levels in a network routing are disclosed. Communications networks are virtualized thereby enabling software-defined networking (SDN). An SDN scheduler or allocator makes use of routing techniques where the state of the network is persisted in a form of storage that all nodes are in consensus is accurate. In one example, the SDN scheduler may generate a temporal audit trail of service level agreements (SLAs) over a network path that includes different intermediate autonomous systems from a transmitting node to a destination node. The SDN scheduler may further perform temporal enhancements of the contract, and then combine the temporal enhancements with the temporal audit trail to confirm the actual service level against the service level as prescribed in the contract.
