  • Publication number: 20220041430
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to nanofabrication and, in some embodiments, to methods of synthesizing selectively binding patched nanoparticles and the devices that can be made from them. In some embodiments, the invention relates to methods of assembling arbitrarily shaped structures from patched nanocubes and the devices and uses that follow. For example, nanocube building blocks may be patched by stamping their faces with a selectively binding chemical species (e.g. DNA, antibody-antigen pairs, etc.), or by using self-assembly to attach to the nanocubes multiple selectively binding patch species whose immiscibility can be preprogrammed. Arbitrarily shaped structures can then be designed and assembled by deciding which faces will be bonded to each other in some target structure and combining nanocubes that have selectively binding patches on those faces.

  • Publication number: 20220039473
Abstract: A device and method for vaporizing a consumable is presented herein and includes a chimney, a battery pack connected to a heating element, a cup for holding a consumable to be vaporized. The heating element heats the cup and/or the consumable. The consumable vaporizes dues to being heated (directly or via the cup). The vapor mixes with the air and flows around the cup, down the chimney, avoiding the heating element. That is, the heating element is separated from the flow of vapor product and air. Thus, the flow of vapor product and air bypasses the heating element. Further, the power source is arranged in close proximity to a common axis of the chimney, cup, and carb, and thus, improves the stability of the vaporization device.

  • Patent number: 11244256
Abstract: A system and method for enhancing assignment of debtor accounts to a plurality of collection parties is presented. The preferred embodiment is capable of optimizing the way by which individual performance entities are assigned to collect on actionable individual debtor accounts by a creditor. An analysis solution uses algorithms to analyze gathered data and to provide a score to each collection party based upon the traits of the individual collection parties, debtor accounts, creditor, externally acquired data, and constraints upon all of the parties involved. The system and method are also capable of enhancing an individual borrower's credit score depending on the risk involved with providing credit to that particular borrower based upon the collectability upon default. One embodiment of the invention would include a risk analysis and compliance assessment system for supply entities to evaluate potential performance entities or other entities.

  • Patent number: 11243967
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to systems and methods for providing search results. A database server can include both a database and a search engine. The database server can receive, from a software service server, storage metadata indicating a plurality of tables of the database and fields of each of the plurality of tables. The database can generate a metadata search index, including tables and fields populated based on the storage metadata, and store it on the database. The database server may receive a search request including one or more search terms from a query-building application of a remote computer. The search engine can determine search statements based on the search request and execute the search statements on a view of the stored metadata search index to obtain index search results. Metadata search results based on the index search results can be provided to the query-building application.

  • Patent number: 11241683
Abstract: The present invention relates to catalysts of iron and chromium with a platinum promoter for use in water-gas shift reactions, both at low temperatures (LTS) and at high temperatures (HTS). Their characteristics of higher activity due to the addition of Pt compared to the conventional catalysts make them superior to the commercial catalysts in the same operating conditions. Because precursors of the active phase (Fe3O4) are obtained in greater quantity per unit area, it was possible to prepare catalysts that are more promising with a smaller surface area.

  • Patent number: 11243236
Abstract: A device and method are provided for monitoring quality and performance parameters of an electricity distribution component in an electricity distribution network and detecting any deviation of operating parameters from the specified regulatory set and enforced limits. The critical and increasing problem is mitigated for the myriad of private domestic and commercial DEG devices being installed and connected to the distribution networks which were not initially designed for, or even not anticipated with, the recent DEG evolution, and the increasing complex electrical components with changing loads and power factors across the distribution network.

  • Patent number: 11243284
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for sequencing magnetic resonance imaging waveforms uses a multistage sequencing hardware. A method comprises creating, with the aid of a computer processor, an active memory region that includes waveforms and schedules being played, and creating one or more buffer memory regions that contain waveforms and schedules not currently being played. Next, the waveforms and schedules in the one or more buffer memory regions may be updated while waveforms may be played in the active memory region. Upon completion of the waveform playback in the active memory region, the active and buffer memory regions may be swapped so that the former buffer memory region becomes the active memory region, and the former active memory region becomes the buffer memory region. The method may be repeated as needed until the imaging process is completed or otherwise halted.

  • Publication number: 20220033639
Abstract: Nanostructures and associated compositions, systems, and methods are provided. In some embodiments, a nanostructure may comprise polymers, intermolecular bonding groups, and a particle. The polymers may be associated with the particle and the intermolecular bonding groups may be associated with at least some of the polymers. In some embodiments, at least some of the intermolecular bonding groups may have a different chemical composition and/or chemical property than the polymers. In some embodiments, nanostructures may reversibly associate with each other via the intermolecular bonding groups to form a material. In some such cases, the intermolecular bonding groups on different nanostructures may reversibly associate with each other. In some embodiments, the nanostructures may be designed, such that the energy required to disassociate at least a portion of the nanostructures in the material is greater than the energy required to dissociate a single association between intermolecular bonding groups.
